There is nothing much you can do about Hathway - simply because when we go on boradband, we don't demand an SLA (Service Level Agreement) where in we detail the ISP's uptime gaurantee. I guess the least you can do keep a backup service (maybe a PSTN dialup - won't be broadband but it will atleast ensure you can trade while the broadband is not available). About the tri-band connection - Chetan my father uses the ADSL tri-band connection from MTNL at home for the past month. He gets amazing speeds (consistant download speeds of about 25KBPS is phenomenal) - never had a downtime yet! Maybe coz there are not too many users on the router he is connected to. As and when the router shares connections, the traffic goes up and individual speeds go down. Nonetheless - what I would suggest is check your configuration again (IP and TCP/IP).
