Airtel broadband bill after disconnection

    Default Airtel broadband bill after disconnection

    I had put in the disconnection request for my Airtel broadband connection on January 23 2012 after clearing my outstanding amount as on that date. I am getting regular follow up calls and messages asking to make the payment for the bills for February and March.

    When I ask them to check the date when I had requested for disconnection or ask a reference number for the call, they hang up
    Again another representative will give the call after some time and repeat the same process.

    I had sent an email to 121@airtel.in regarding this and I got no response other than the system generated automatic email.

    I went to an Airtel office and complained about this. Then they asked to call an Airtel number from the land line and explain the issue.
    I called up the number and I collected the reference number for the call first. Details are below
    Call reference no : 103605364
    Complaint reference no: 14654726

    They confirmed that the issue is with the Airtel database not being updated properly and will be resolved by Monday (23rd April)

    Monday - I got a call from Airtel mentioning that the issue will be closed if I pay a lesser amount. I dont know why there is still outstanding amount even if I cleared the bill on the date I asked for disconnection and did not use the connection any more.

    I asked the guy to give me in writing the reason why I still have an outstanding amount due and if I clear that amount, I wont get any further calls from Airtel.
    He said ok and disconnected the call.

    I am still receiving follow up SMSes from Airtel asking to pay the bill for February and March

    Is there a way that I can get this escalated and resolved

    This is to inform you that i have an airtel broadband connection with account number 7005427307. I have paid 2238 Rs. as two months bill. But due to some technical problem airtel was saying that they reversed me the amount on 21 june 2012, but i have not recieved the amount till date. They disconnected my services also.

    Kindly Help asap
