    Default Airtel Broadband Billing Issues

    Hi ,

    Myself , Vijay kumar, is using Airtel Broadband Services in NCR , Delhi . My account number is 7005252531. I have this connection for the last 5 months . Initially i was using a limited usage plan of 6 GB with 2mps speed. It was told that whenever my usage reaches 80 % (4.8 GB ) i will be sent a trigger alert on my mailbox so that i can control my usage henceforth . To my pain, they sent me a bill of round about Rs.2500 /- saying this was the total usage . Shocking point is I didn't get any alert mail on my 4.8 GB consumption and they kept on saying you have consumed roughly around 20 GB . I logged a complaint and with lot of mind boggling discussion and mental harassement a waiver was given and finally I had to pay Rs 1000 /- to close the dispute .

    For the next three months , things went on fine . But again this problem has repeated in the billing month of December 2011 . They are asking a sum Rs.2534 /- . After lot of complaints on 121 ,they have reduced the amount to Rs. 1834/- . But upfront i have rejected to make the payment . I am really disturbed with the Customer care support calling me every now and then . Everytime a new person calls and I have to explain him/ her the case from the start . I think I am reaching the threshold limit of my decency level as no one provides a concrete solution . They listen and say they will get back to me with solution . Next time a new person calls.

    To be very clear , I am not going to pay any amount exceeding my rental & taxes . Please take up the issue as high priority .

    Hi my name is rohan colaco from bangalore i have been an airtel customer from 11 years for mobile services due to which every family member of mine had moved to airtel. Recently approximately 3 months ago i moved from BSNL broadband to Airtel as i thought i would get the same service from your broadband service. My number is 08041575408. In the beginning the executive who came to take up my connection told me about the various options and I selected the 799 scheme. Then he told me if i pay another 799 the rental would start from ext month. I did the same. I was informed from airtel and your scheme that on the 799 scheme i get 6 G.B download free and after that i would be moved to 256 kbps speed. Which was still ok. The call centre also confirmed to me that I would get a message on 80% completed utilisation. The first month bill came it showed me 2200, then the second month 2,200/- when i asked for a clarification they took ahead and did a cancelation and when i asked them for clarification on the bill they say they will come back after 10 days and would be sorted. When i asked them if i crossed the utilisation how come my speed never got reduced they say it was not meant to. I have a connection in my office too which automatically gets back to 256 kbps speed. Again this month they say my bill has come upto 2,205 it is not possible at all. I think i need to take it to consumer court as i feel have been sentimentally effected by airtel broadband. Please do clarify wether is it ever possible for u no to reduce the speed if you have utilised your donload capacity first u can check my records i have been paying not to make a bad record in my oayment history but now airtel is forcing me to do the same.
