I was interested in getting a new broadband connection in Trivandrum. Accordingly, I contacted an agent of the company who promptly showed up at my premises. Within some time of talking with them, I handed out a cheque for 600/- towards the installation charges. This was on Saturday 28th Jan 2012. I was promised a working connection by Monday 30th Jan 2012.
Now, there is no news from their end. I tried to contact the agents who came to my home and collected the cheque. Every time, they have this ready made response - your connection is sanctioned and the technicians will come within an hour to install the connection. I tried to contact certain other officials within the company and they are stating that the port availability is an issue. However, the agents claim that ports are available and the installation will occur any minute!

Certain pointers which I would like to add about my brief experience with Reliance Broadband:
1) The connection stopped working within 12 hours on installing it on my premises.
2) I filed a complaint with the customer care. I was told that a technician would visit my premises to rectify the situation. This technician turned up after 27 hours of me posting the complaint.
3) He found that someone (probably working within the company) had plucked out and disconnected my connection from the DP. He could offer no explanation about the incident. There is a lock for this box, but it has also been tampered with. Yes. it is a sad state of affairs for Reliance Broadband within Trivandrum.
As of now, I am not experiencing any issues with the connection. I will keep this thread updated with my experiences with Reliance Broadband. It can prove to be beneficial for the others (located within Trivandrum) who are thinking of switching to Reliance Broadband.
