    Default Airtel Broadband Bangalore Patheric service

    Hi
    I had applied for an Airtel Landline Connection in September 2011. I was told, I will get the connection within 7 days and also that if I pay my one month charge in advance, the installation will be free.
    Though my cheque was cleared in October, I was not provided the connection or any update untill November. I raised a complaint with multiple levels and finally I was given the connection on November 26th (080 4954 0362).

    I was provided with a bill for the month of October and November. I duly notified airtel on the same, and they mentioned it is a mistake from their end.

    Again, I was provided with a bill on December 10th, asking me for the charges for all the months and the initial charges I paid (Rs 999) was never discounted. I sent multiple emails including to the Nodal Officer and the Appellateofficer.
    This was not addressed, and in January 10th, I was again asked to pay the bill, and this happened, as I was communicating with the Appellate officer. No one ever cared to respond to my complaint, apart from the standard templated response.

    They later started mentioning that the 999 that I paid was for the installation and the same will not be adjusted against the payment.

    Later, the collection agents started calling me asking for the payment. I owed Airtel only Rs 500 + Tax, though the asking charges were Rs 1500+.

    The moment I wrote to the Appellate officer about the harassment from the collection agents, they cut my internet connection.
    Here is my question:
    Are you an institutionalized fraud organization? Are your sales team telling a bunch of lies or you are in the process of cheating customers? Is the mandate given to the Nodal Officer and Appellateofficer to solve the customer complaint, or to just close the ticket, by blabbering something?
    I have been mailing the AppellateOfficer almost on a daily basis from first week of January, and I ended up losing my landline connectivity.
