Hi,
I am a customer of Reliance Broadband since April 2010. Since April 2010 my billing cycle has always been from 3rd – 2nd. But unfortunately the bill for the current month January 2012 (Bill Number: 343793942639) has the billing cycle from 3rd to 6th, the end result of which is that I have been charged a lot more, in fact double of what I am charged every month as per my data usage plan. I have a limited download plan (3 GB at peak and 10 GB off-peak) which I use by 2nd of every month and then start my fresh usage and downloads from 3rd.
My areas of concern thereby are:
I have been following up with Customer Care through calls and emails since the last 1 month but till now I have not got any satisfactory response. The Service Request ID for my request is 169989405. I also sent an email to the RCom Nodal officer Preeti as well as the RCom Appellate Authority Samir but I have not even recieved a single response from their end. Hence I am forced to seek the help of Consumer Court on this. Since the last day of submitting the billed amount was 25th January, 2012 I promptly did so, so as to avoid any discontinuation of service by Reliance. But I want a complete refund of the excess amount charged to me illegally or an adjustment of the same amount in the next billing cycle.
- A billing cycle is always for a period of a month. For example it was always 3rd to 2nd in my case. How can my bill period that has been constant from April 2010 be suddenly changed in the current billing cycle and that too without any prior intimation? This is completely unprofessional, vague and unacceptable.
- Since I am having a limited download plan, I can’t be charged for data usage for more than a month, which is the case here. So I am liable to pay Reliance only INR 1157 and not 2224. The payment history till now can be verified in the records of Reliance Communications.
Such incidents are a black spot on Reliance and I think all the concerned authorities should be answerble for this. Such incidents of cheating have to be stopped else innocent users like us are going to suffer forever.
Thanking you in anticipation,
Soban T Kurian

Hi,
My issue has not yet been addressed. Although I have been called up by RCom representatives a couple of times and assured a speedy redressal of my complaint, the same has been resolved yet and I am still awaiting action.
Can I have a prompt action on this please.
Thanks,
Soban
