    Angry Harrassment by Airtel and illegal billing

    Hello,
    This is regarding Airtel broadband number 044 42020512 and A/c number 15888700.

    I had this number when I was residing in Chennai till July 30th 2011. Thereafter I moved from Chennai to Bangalore permanently. So I had made a request on 29th July to disconnect this number , but the executive told me that the same connection could be transferred to Bangalore. so I asked him transfer this connection to Bangalore. I was told that this would need my Bangalore address. So I was asked by your customer care people to just take the phone along with me and place a request for transfer when I have a Bangalore address.
    On 8th August 2011, I had called customer care and given the transfer request with the following address:


    1st floor, #261/3, Ist A Cross, Kaggadaspura Main Road, CV Raman Nagar, Banaglore


    I was told that the connection would be transferred after someone from Airtel Bangalore will call me. I got a call from airtel office some time after this and the guy told me he will come in 2-3 days.
    After this call I never got the call from that guy again or from anyone from Airtel office. The connection was not transfered to Bangalore and I kept on waiting for one month without an internet connection.
    When I was frustrated after one month of waiting I again called up customer care and told them that if the connection does not gets transferred in 2 days I would need to buy the internet connection from other operator.
    The lady told me " No Sir, the connection would surely be transferred and someone will call you tomorrow , if it does not gets installed in two days, I will raise a disconnection request." Even then nobody called me or came for installation.
    Eventually I took a new Idea3G connection .


    I got a call from Chennai office on 22-Dec 2011 to pay for the rents of months August-December inspite of not using it and making a transfer/disconnection request multiple times. I had to repeat the same story everytime I call these guys or someone from Airtel calls. I do not understand why they can't keep track of what commitments are being made by their customer care executives.


    After explaining the guy about what all had happened, the guy told me that I should pay the bill from 29th July to 8th August 2011. He told that remaining amount would be cleared.
    Inspite of not using the connection/telephone during that time I agreed to pay Airtel an amount of Rs 476/-. I paid that amount immediately and was hoping that finally the issue would be resolved.
    This time again, the commitment was not kept by Airtel guys and they have started asking me to pay the entire amount.

    First of all Airtel did not disconnect the telephone , asked me to transfer it, then they do not transfer it despite repeated requests, no-one from their side calls up for re-installation and they leave me without internet for about a month.

    And after doing this all to me, they also want me to pay them rental till January 2012.

    I am really annoyed at such a behaviour from Airtel.

    I am being threatened to pay the bill even after I made the request for airtel internet transfer from Chennai to Bangalore on 29th July 2011. I was told that request will be taken after I give you guys a bangalore address. So I gave the bangalore address on 8th August 2011.
    I have already paid 476/- even for not using the connection for the date 25th July to 8th August.
    I called up customer care again today and now I am being told to pay the bill till 27th August.
    When I asked the guy I was talking to today, Balaji, to give the phone to somebody senior , he told me to call again and said that everyone was busy now and no one can talk. He told me call again on Friday.
    Is this the only work I have got. I am fed up of calling these guys about 25 times in last 6 month.


    Why the hell should I pay for their lethargy ? Airtel did not transfer the connection in 1 month and you expect me to pay the bill to you for that entire month and even for next 5 months.
