    Default Airtel Broadband Plan change request not done

    Respected Sir,
    This complaint is regarding the specific plan change request(8036040) raised on 29th November, 2011 which is not being serviced by Airtel & also I have faced with various other service issues like delay in shifting my connection, incorrect billing, Automatic plan change & incorrect units charged for the anti virus software they provide with the broad band connection for my airtel account number 13250345. There were numerous compliants raised regarding these with them.

    The very reason I wanted the plan change is because when they shifted my connection, initally they gave me the same landline number(08041641238) & my plan(1299 monthly with 1 Mbps speed in day & 2 Mbps during night) was also the same but after 15 days they disconnected the connection for reasons best known to them & gave me another number(08041103594 for landline & 08060149169_kk for broadband) & the broadband plan was also changed to 1299 monthly with 512 kbps speed in day & 1 Mbps in night) without my knowledge. I had raised a compliant regarding this which never got resoved hence I decided for the plan change through a service request.

    So the details of current issue of plan change not done is below:
    The 1st service request(5550184) for plan change to Turbo 30GB @ 1399 4 Mbps was rasied on October 12th, 2011 for which I was told the plan will change on start of billing cycle 26th October,2011. Then I got a confirmation call on the plan change during which I enquired about the feasability for 4 Mbps speed & got confirmed from them that it is very much there but the plan was not changed as they said on 26th October,2011. Then I called on 29th Oct,2011 & a complaint(6423876) was raised regarding this with the resolution date as Nov 8th,2011. They closed the ticket saying the feasability for 4 Mbps speed is not there.

    Then the 2nd service request(7269170) to change my plan to Max 30GB @ 1299 2Mbps Speed was rasied on November 13th, 2011 for which I was told the plan will change on start of billing cycle 26th November,2011. I got a call on 22nd November,2011 saying your plan will be migrateded as told on 26th November,2011. Again I confirmed with that person about the speed feasibility. But the plan was not migrated on 26th Nov,2011. When I rasied a complaint regarding this, it was closed saying the feasability is not there for 2Mbps.
    Note: To tel logically, 2Mbps speed is very much feasible for me beacuse when I try to use one of the service provided by them called 'Speed on Demand', I am able to upgrade my speed to 2 Mbps.

    Then the 3rd service request(8036040) to change my plan to Max 30GB @ 1299 2Mbps speed was raised on Nov 29th, 2011 for which I was told the plan will change on start of billing cycle 26th December,2011. As usual I got a confirmation call on the same but the plan was not changed as said on 26th December,2011.
    This time I had even called the appelate officer who checked and told the reason for the plan change not done as "For the 1st service request for plan change which was raised on October 12th, 2011 there was a work order request created in the system which is not closed still because of some technical reason at their end & it will be rectified in couple of days"

    But again the plan was not changed & I got a call from customer care telling it could not be done now & he raised a another service request himself & told the plan will be changed next biling cycle 26th Jan 2012.
    Today 14th Jan,2012 I got a call from them saying its not feasible to give the plan Max 30 GB @ 1299 with 2 Mbps speed but as I mentioned in my above note that 2 Mbps speed is very much feasible for my connection as I could test it through 'Speed on demand' service provided by them.

    I have been a very loyal customer to airtel & have been using their broadband for almost 4.5 years & have been paying the bills on time. They can very well check the records for the history.
    But from past 6 months its been a very tough experience for me & I have gone through a lot of emotional pain & disturbance due to them.

    Kindly request you to take appropriate action against them.
    Also I expect atleast they should minimum compensate the bills paid by me from the 1st plan change request I raised on October 12th, 2011 after shifting my connection. This is because they could not service my request due to some tecnical issue from their side & its not my mistake.
    Also I am currently paying Rs 1299 + service tax every month for the low(512 kbps speed during day & 1 mbps speed during night).

    Last & not the least I expect them to give me the requested plan change to Max 30 GB @ 1299 with 2 Mbps speed immediately.

    Default Finally fed up and raised cancellation request

    Hi,

    I had called the airtel appellate yesterday 16th Jan, 2012 to enquire about the plan migration issue I have been facing. He told me the same as the appellate officer who informed me last when I had called that the issue is "For the 1st service request for plan change which was raised on October 12th, 2011 there was a work order request created in the system which is not closed still because of some technical reason at their end & that has to be rectified & the feasibilty for 2 Mbps is very much there".
    I asked about the waiver on the bills I have paid from Oct 12th, 2011 since it is there issue which has resulted in the plan being not migrated & I have been paying 1299+service tax every month for the low 512kbps in day & 1 Mbps speed in night. He told that we can raise the same with the billing department but only after the migration issue get resolved & did not provide a timeline for the same.
    The interaction ID for the above conversation is 68870093.

    I have got fed up of this, finally decided & sent a cancellation request email to 121@airtel.in yesterday 16th Jan, 2012. I could have called airtel customer care for the cancellation request but instead prefered it to keep through email for my record in future.
    But I did not recieve a reply from them with the cancellation request number instead recieved a call today 17th Jan, 2012 from them regarding the plan migration teling the feasiblity for 2 Mbps is not there in your area..
    I told them the feasiblity is very much there & referred to the conversation I had with appellate officer & then requested to raise the cancellation request for my connection.
    The cancellation request number is 10454178. Then I got a confirmation call on the same within 0.5 hrs forcing me to wait & telling that they can rectify the plan migration issue.
    I clearly told them I need cancellation of my connection & they confirmed me it will be done within 7 calendar days. I called in customer care again to confirm on the same & also sent an email to appellate email ID appellate.southabts@in.airtel.com informing them about the cancellation request.

    I expect my connection to be terminated within next 7 calendar days starting today.. (even though I sent the cancellation email yesterday 16th Jan, 2012 the cancellation request was raised only today 17th Jan, 2012) So for calculation even if starting today within next 7 days is 24th Jan 2012, my connection should be cancelled.
