I had 2 lines until Dec. (i.e. 26145514 &26149636) provided by MTNL.I closed down my 26145514 line in Dec 11’ and right now only my 26149636 line is open.
Previously I used to use my broadband from the 26145514 line which gave me an average speed of about 512kbps using the TriB 599 plan which promises a speed of “Up to 2mbps”.Now since it’s closed down, I can’t do anything about it.
As for my 26149636 line, it is giving me an average speed of 256kbps with the same pan (TriB 599) .I have tried changing my modem, giving numerous complains on the MTNL customer care ( 198 & 1504) but nothing seems to happen.
I have also gone to the Vasant vihar telephone exchange .They sent two guys who gave me an explanation saying that our house was too far away from their server. But I think that’s not the reason. I have neighbors who are having much higher download speeds.
