Airtel BB -termination req pending for 6 months Hi
I am from Bangalore. I had a airtel broadband connection till last June. Everything was going smooth till i had to shift to a new house, i requested airtel to cancel or transfer if possible my connection to my new house. My billing cycle was from 5 to 5.I cleared all outstanding amounts and registered a case to cancel or transfer (if possible) my connection on june 12. My trouble started there. Even after repeated calls to airtel reps i didn’t get a clear answer on the status of my request (replies were either "DP chocked" or "please wait 2 days, the connection will be transferred in 2 days time"). i guess there is some turnaround time of 3 days or something for the cases, every other day i used to get a new case number and it will get closed without any proper resolution ie closing my connection or transferring the connection to new address.
This process repeated for around 1 1/2 months, and then one airtel representative told me that since there was lot of delay from airtel, bill for 6 days (from june 5 to june 12) is waived off and my connection is terminated.
In Aug i got a bill for some 1000+ amount for the month of july and the process repeated again. After so many calls and hours explaining i was told that my connection is canceled.
Then in December i got a call from airtel legal representatives that i have some amount pending and i need to pay the amount.
I am tired of this behavior from airtel. One department informs that my connection is terminated and other one asks me to pay and more over the process is repeating again and again. I might have spent more than 1000 Rs for talking to airtel representatives.
I had mailed to nodalofficer.kk@airtel.in, care.karnataka@airtel.in and got no replies till now.
Pls somebody let me know how to proceed further. How do i deal with misleading information from airtel representatives? Or rather how do I close this airtel connection forever?
