Hi,

I have been using an internet service provider for a couple of years who has been providing internet to me at INR 800 per month. This month he has decided to raise the tariff to INR 1000 else he will disconnect the service. His explanation is that his company is now charging 'multi user fee' for people who use routers and hence are able to connect multiple computers with the same connection (I have been operating in this way for the entire duration in the past). At the time of installation there was no such terms stipulated.

How do I not agree to this hike - What recourse do I have? Can i take him to consumer court?
