I write to you in great disappointment that I had applied for an Airtel Broadband Connection in the month of August 2011 in the name of Mudit Tandon CEF No-2784418 at my residence A-308, Vijaya Appartment, Ahinsa Khand -2, Indirapuram, Ghaziabad, UP through Mr. Karan. First of all this application was delayed and after my earlier complaint to the Consumer Court, the wire was drawn at my residence. But the connection could not be completed as according to the reply I received from Airtel "The DP was choked".

Although the Account No had been generated for this connection and the account number allotted to me is 7005229070.

I wanted to know why the wire was drawn at my residence without checking the feasibility of the connection? But I did not get any answer from airtel.

After talking to Mr. Surendra Kalra who looks after the Installation of Broadband connection, I was told by him that in a case where the connection is not completed the refund of the amount (Rs.500/-) comes within 45 days of the disconnection date.

I also confirmed from the customer care at the Sector 57 Noida office and they told me that the request for the disconnection had been raised on the 5th of September 2011. I waited for 45 days since then and when the cheque did not arrive at my residence, I called up the customer care again to enquire about the status. To my astonishment, they told me that no such request had been raised for disconnection.

I raised another request on the 31st October 2011 for the disconnection whose reference number is 6494298. Form the customer care representative I came to know that this request would be resolved by 7th of November 2011 OR at least I will be informed about the status of the refund.

I again visited the complaint cell at the Noida office and from there when I talked to Mr Rohit and senior member in the Customer care department, I was told that he would inquire about it and get back to me by the evening of that day but again I did not receive any call from either Mr.Rohit or any customer care employee telling me the exact status of this.

Till date I have not received any information on this issue and feel that I have been cheated by Airtel and its employees namely - Mr. Karan, Mr. Surendra Kalra and Mr. Rohit. I would no longer like to wait for the refund and would simply want airtel to refund the amount ASAP.

I would also like to raise an RTI for this so that the customer can get the correct information. Please help me out in doing so.
