Hi,

My name is Maninder Dhillon and my Reliance Broadband ID is: 340025233082. I am using a Reliance Wimax connection since last 3 years. Recently I had been experiencing many issues while surfing internet/downloading/regular disconnections and for the same called up customer care on 13th October 2011. Since my earlier complaints for the same yielded in no resolution, I then told them to get me a new Relaince wireline connection and disable my current connection only before confirming that the wireline connection can be installed at my premises. Also, I was told that before disconnection I would receive a call from Reliance confirming the same and only then will any action be taken.

Later that day I received a call from the Technical engineer telling me that your area doesn't support wireline connection and you should go for a wimax connection instead. When i asked the technical enginner that why did the customer care said its possible , I was told that those guys can only enter pin code and check but the feasibility of the connection only he could confirm. Immediately, I called up customer care and verified the same and was told that yes , only the technical engineer can confirm that. when asked why wasnt I informed the same earlier, there was no answer.

The next day i.e. 14th Oct 2011 I called up customer care again asking them to cancel my request for termination as I would like to continue my existing connection. The person put me on hold for some minutes and then confirmed that my request for discontinuation of services has been cancelled. Now, on 24th Oct 2011, I receive an e-mail saying that my connection has been disconnected and someone will come and collect the instrument from my premises and if I don't intend to return the same I will have to pay Rs.1500. I immediately called up customer care and informed about the same. They were as always unhelpful and after my repeated assurance that I hadn't authorized the same told me that the issue was escalated and someone will get back to me ASAP. On asking the timelines for the same, the person was again unsure .

On 26th Oct 2011, my internet has stopped working. Whenever I try to login, it says invalid username. Frustrated I had to call up customer care again and when I narrated the whole incident, the executive was less than helpful. The preposterous thing was that he confirmed that there was no record, whatsoever, of me calling back on 14th Oct 2011 and cancelling my request. This is such a shame that the persons working are incompetent enough to log their call records in the database and take appropriate action. Also,that my connection cannot be restored.

My concern is:
How can my connection be disconnected when I haven't authorized it? Does Reliance work on its own whimps and fancies ?

Please restore my connection ASAP as I haven't authorized it to be disconnected .
I will not pay even a single penny or give the instrument back as it's not my headache that Reliance Broadband cannot take proper action when needed.
Had the customer care executive done his job right, I wouldn't have landed here.

Such a pathetic irresponsible behavior on customer care's part reflects very poorly on Reliance work ethics.
