    Angry Airtel Broadband Billing Issue

    Hi

I applied for Airtel broadband connection with 512 K speed and 8 gb of free usage. I got a DSL usage bill of Rs. 9012.32 after discount Rs. 6057 for a period of 6th July to 4th August. I am pretty sure that my usage level is significantly lower than what is shown in the bill.

In my bill there are a number of entries reflecting more than 1 GB usage which is highly unlikely. My internet connection stopped working for a period from 2nd August till 8th August and I raised a ticket on 5th August 2009 to rectify the same. I got usage charge even for this period when I did'nt used my system at all.

There seems to be a serious problem with Airtel Broadband billing department

Default Extra Charges imposed in my airtel DSL Bill for 2 months

    Hi,

I am holding a connection Customer ID 14878568. I have requested so many
complaints regarding my bill as you have charged Rs 50 extra consecutively 2 months for July09 and August09 for late payment, though i made the payment on time.

I talked to Airtel executives 3 times for the same problem. Unfortunately i have only one REF ID/Interaction ID 90466059 . They all claimed to adjust this amount in my next bill but still i get that amount in every bill.
I am really tired and really harassed by calling the customer care again and again for this small issue which was not even my fault.

This is a continuous practice that they charge extra for no reasons and if the customer doesnt pay attention, he/she would be charged extra for no reason.

It will be really great if you can help me on this issue.

    Regards

Thumbs down Payment dispute for Airtel Boradband Connection

    Hi,

I am having Airtel Broadband connection since Oct 2009. While applying for connection I made the payment of 3897/- Rupees, which includes 1500(Modem Charges) and 2397(3 month advance rental).

But, after one month only I have started getting calls regarding non-payment for broadband connection. Although I have all proofs including My Bank Statement, Scanned copy of Airtel application form.

I have already raised this issue with Airtel broadband customer care via REF NO : 29262096. Since 2 weeks I am following up with Airtel Customer relationship manager, but till no with no success.

After so much effort I m finding it to difficult to track with Airtel guys, Hence I already prepared to submit complaint in Consumer forum at Basava Nagag Bangalore Office.

Any help/comments will be be much appreciated.

    Thanks

    Default Airtel bills incorrectly

We too got duped by their inefficiency

We had requested 1st by telephone on 6 August to have our plan changed from 1299 Business Combo to Impatience 1299. We were informed by the Airtel staff that since their system was being updated we should email the request to “wecare.west@airtel.in”and assured us that after this our plan will be changed to Impatience 1299 within 48 hours. Following the telephonic exchange, we sent an email dated 6th August for the same to change our plan

At this point we understood that Airtel will do the needful and hence started using the internet as per the new plan Impatience 1299.

On 14th Sep 2010 we have received the bill amounting to Rs 14,509.84. Upon further investigation it was noticed that Airtel failed to change our plan from 1299 Business Combo to Impatience 1299. We have written to Airtel customer service the same day informing you of the error with a request to rectify the same. We received an email from Airtel explaining that Impatience 1299 is not applicable to our account.

We were not told anything to this effect when we made a plan change request on 6th August. Even after sending an email for the same we were not intimidated that the plan will not be applicable.

Now, on 17th Sep 2010 I get an email from Airtel saying that they never got any email from us. What is next - will they delete the telephone conversation as well?

They have been rude on the phone now that they know its their fault.

Default Shoddy Billing Process for GPRS

I was using GPRS service from my iPhone and later wanted to stop it. I couldn't do it using their menu based system. I kept trying for weeks and nothing was happening. Every time I would call 121 they would promise me it will be done within 48/72 hrs and it never did. Their support staff is a bunch of illiterate fools. Technically, they have no knowledge and are like parrots who would repeat what has been taught to them. You ask a question which is out of their line and they cannot revert. They have no technical knowledge about iPhone and hence, they would ask me to remove the SIM or switch of the phone etc etc.

Finally, someone with enough brains in him deactivated the service from the backend (which I have been requesting for the whole month). Also, I was promised a refund for the number of days this has been going on. The refund never happened. Upon query, I was informed that the money has been credited into my account but they have no proof which can show that indeed the money was refunded.

Sincerely, I feel they tend to cheat people whenever they can. I hate to say it but service providers in this country are a bunch of thugs and Airtel is one of the biggest.

Service request number 0104381227 given to me by Ms. Sandhna Sekar B. My ticket no. is 322803 issued by Mr. Manjit Singh.

The Following are the trail mails... if anyone is interested in reading them.

    Hi
I am still waiting for a resolution. Till now I have been getting calls from Airtel executives informing me that the needful will be done within such and such days. The GPRS service has stopped. However I am still getting billed Rs. 20 everyday for the service. Also I was informed that the money will be refunded but till now nothing has happened.

I need this to be rectified as soon as possible. My ticket no. is 322803. Have spoken to Mr. Manjit Singh who actually understood the problem and the GPRS service stopped. A few days later I spoke to Ms.
Ruchi and she assured me that my money which has been deducted wrongly will be credited into my account but till now nothing has happened.

    Hi
    My telephone Number is 9717352128

Since last 2 weeks I am trying to deactivate the GPRS service I am
using on this Number. I am using Apple iPhone 3G. I have tried
    deactivating the service by using 567# -- Send 4 -- Send 1. However I
do not get any confirmation. I have tried speaking to the support but
no one is able to solve the problem. On 29th December 2009 someone
from support promised that the service will be deactivated within 48
hrs but till now nothing has happened. The executive even left a note
to waive off the Rs. 20 charge per day as I am not interested in the
service. I have called numerous times and all the support numbers
provided but till now the problem has not been resolved.

I wish this service to be deactivated ASAP

    Best regards
