I Puchased a idea netsetter data card on the 2nd of June 2009. It started functioning from 5th of June. Between 10AM and 6PM I was getting speeds of 5KB to 8KB (ie 40 to 65 kbps). With this speed I could not securely do any online share transactions. I decided that this connection was useless for any online trading and accordingly i sent a mail to them asking them to disconnect my service as soon as my free period (for 2 months) got over.
Somebody from Idea rang me up and informed me that I should remind them again near about the expiry of my Free period (Aug 5th). So I sent a mail again in the end of July for disconnection. I got a mail back from them asking me to pay the outsatanding bills first. I went to their office and I was asked to pay Rs 37. I Paid Rs 40 and again sent an email on 3rd AUG for disconnection. This time after 3 or 4 days I got a call asking me to pay Rs 30 more. I went and paid Rs 30 again On Aug 8th. I wrote to them again asking for disconnection. After 4 or 5 days I got a phone asking me to pay Rs 250. This because after 5th AUG(the end of my Free period) I was put on their prepaid scheme. I refused to pay this. In all their mails so far they have not mentioned anywhere about theamounts I have to pay. They have sent only one Bill so far dated 23rd June for Rs 37. The consumer DOES NOT know how much he has to pay, and so he has to depend only on the bills, or verbal information from the Co. Idea does not send bills and do not mention amounts in their emails. I have totally used the connection for about 5MB and may be 2Hrs and all these during my free unlimited period.
Now i have got a phone call from them asking me to pay Rs 450.
Still No Bills.
