    My name is priyank jain staying in goregaon west, i have being using TATA photon
    plus since 2 months in a residence where the general usage of the internet is not
    more than 2 gb, i received my bill for the month of 17/06/09 to 16/07/09 the account
    number for the product is 974936096.

    the bill was Rs 24,054 which is impossible for a residence i have being using
    internet since 4 years my bill never crossed rs 1200 with similar plan, on asking
    not even asking i had to literally plead them to register a complaint for the bill i
    received they tell me its your usage and you will have to pay, this is poor service
    by such a big and known company, i dont what to do know, i am sure this usage is not
    possible, i want some respite from the court, i dont want any compensation from the
    company i just want to get this bill sorted out the time being.

    Default Tata Photon Plus - False promises and Worst Customer Care

    I bought Tata Photon+ on 5th March 2010 from Michael (8147590465) with a promise that it will start working from 8th March. It has not still start working. I have made 50 calls to Michael and 500 calls to customer care and it is still not working. Michael gave me contact of Subhash Anthony (9243460280) who promised me that the problem is solved in next 4 hours and he have never picked up my call ever since. I dont even know where to complain now.

    I am trying to call customer care for last one week, no one picks phone there. There is no email address given in the site.

    Tata has no transparent information about complain cells, and best way for Tata employees to handle customer complaint is to not pick up their calls.

    I hope someone would see this complaint here. I will keep on writing until you do something about the piece of garbage I have which simply doesnt work and that Tata fondly calls Photon +.

    Default Breach of Privacy!

    I have been continuously calling the call centre and their (Tata Photon Plus') local outlets for one simple issue - A survey page that appears every time we try to log into our account. Firstly, we dont have time to respond to surveys. Two, the questions asked are very personal and we do not wish to answer them. Three, we are not being given access to our own account if we do not complete the survey which is a breach of business ethics. I have been contacting their customer care for the past 2 months. We were initially told that nothing can be done. Later on, a local front end executive ensured us that the issue would be resolved in 72 hours and that we can go ahead and make our payment. Its over a month now, and today, I still find the survey page intact. I told them that I have 2 days time within which if this page is not removed, I have to cancel my Tata Photon Plus. Its a brach of privacy and rights. Now someone calls up and says that this is standard procedure and there is no other go. A survey is something we can take if we want to. It cannot be forced on to us (there is only a submit button, no cancel button). Moreover, they cannot deny us access to our internet usage details on conditions like this. I wish someone would take the matter up and do something!!!

    TATA PHOTON PLUS LOOTING CUSTOMERS

    I bought tata photon plus from chandigarh on 29.07.2010 I was told by the customer care that I would be given 200 Rs discount for 12 months on purchase of tata photon plus on my postpaid bill but when I purchased I was told that this offer is not applicable in chandigarh. Had I been told that before buying I would not have purchased tata photon connection.
    Not only that when I got my second month bill i.e of September my bill was inflated by 384 Rs under the name HSIA usage charge ,my bill was supposed to be 950 as I have opted for 5gb plan for Rs 950 and I have used only 3 gb but I was charged 1474 Rs . I cant understand why they are looting customers. When I analyzed my bill I found that my 1st bill was also inflated by 200 Rs , again in the name of HSIA usage name ,when I called up the customer care the response was also not very positive I was supposed to get the refund of total 384+200 = 584 but was given only 500 Rs refund that too after calling them thrice and explaining them the tedious details of the bill .I was told by the customer care representative that it is not under his control to refund more than 500 Rs Have I not looked upon my 2nd bill they would continue charging and inflating my bill . I feel that there are many such innocent customers who are already in trap and are not aware of over billing .This post is to AWARE the TATA PHOTON PLUS customers to get aware of the over billing and fraud ness of tata photon billing and business strategy to loot INDIANS.

    Tata Photon Advertise the speeds upto 3.1 Mbps. Sales person says we get maximum speed when there is good signal strength. I have 96% signal strength. I have purchased that based on that advertisement. After purchasing I am not even getting 500 Kbps Speed. When I raise complaint they said modem was faulty and it was replaced. Even after replacing, the speeds doesn't even cross 200 Kbps. Totally I have raised 5 complaints in one month (First Month) regarding speeds. When I request my money back they refuse to give my money back. They said since I have purchased I dont get money back. 5 complaints in first month of purchase, You can think how horrible the service of TATA is. I am going to file a complaint on this company regarding false advertisement.

    i hava a tata photon plus prepaid with the number 9268380018 which was purchased in delhi on 24 July this year.
    i got it recharged on 16 oct for Rs 200 with validity of 30 days and download of 250 mb.
    i used it for three days and later on 24 oct when it was connected it showed error no 734, when it was checked with the helpline i was told that i have finished total download of 250 mb and of which 150 mb has been downloaded on 23 oct in three sessions from 7 pm onwards, whereas i had last used the device on 20 oct and therafter it was connected on 24 oct only.
    complaint for the same was was lodged vide complaint number NTT 0712954282 on 24 oct 10.
    thereafter i was contacted by one Mr Anshu from tata photon number +911726606800 and he also could not satisfy my questions which were
    (a) can internet be assessed without connecting the device ?
    (b) is it possible for a person to consume 150 mb when his max usage is 8 mb at any given time and has two unlimited broadband connections at home?
    (c) provide me with data of the towers from where my device has been assessed on 23 oct 10 so that it can be proved that it was not my device and i was not present at that location?
    (d) how can i be assured that it was my device and not a cloned one, since the device was with me throughout the period and not attached to any computer or even borrowed by someone ?
    (e) how can i be assured that it is not a job of some insider?
    (f) what is the guarantee that when next time it is recharged something like this will not take place again?
    (g) is it a case of cloning/stolen password/misuse/insider job, requires to be answered to the satisfaction of the customer?
    i was told that if i want any other information i have to contact tata indicom outlet and lodge formal complaint. what is a formal complaint is not understood? in today's world of internet and email a person has to run around for putting complaint on paper to get records of his usage and not by email is not understood.
    i am not satisfied with the answers given by any of the reps and i feel it is deficiency in service. the complaint no generated by online complaint was 205013 and that too is showing closed after one day whereas nothing has been done about it.
    i had purchased tata photon plus when Reliance and MTS had presence in the market with cheaper and better options, only because of the reliability and better customer support of tata, but i feel disappointed and cheated by the response from the company.
    i had to repeat the complaint three times to all personnel concerned but nothing has happened.
    the service is pathetic and cheating is rampant, the only use i can think of the modem is that it can be used as a pen drive by inserting a micro sd card and it is good for that only.

    Angry Activation Problem

    I have purchaes Tata Photon plus on 25/11/2010 and i have given assurance by the sales person and collection agaent that my connection get activate byh 26/11 morning. Since morning, i am trying sales person number and collection boy, but they are not picking up the phone. I have choosen the Tata Photon, bacause sales person promised me about early activation.

    I am moving to Pune tomorrow and i do not know, what happen there. it is really very bad service and not accountable for anything.

    I am a Mumbai customer of Tata Photon Plus (for the past five months) Tata indicom number 09222232554 (My account number 977336122) and this e-mail is to bring to your notice that I am being put through a lot of inconvenience by Tata indicom's fraudulent and exorbitant billing system which I m highly suspicious of. I had written to the customer care asking for an itemised bill for that particular bill (dated 5th Oct 2010, Bill number 910980130 for Rs. 1848) so that I would know the exact day-to-day details of my usage according to which I have been charged. This is because I m 100 percent sure that my minimal usage could not have amounted to that much. There was no reply to this request of mine for weeks after which I had to repeatedly remind them through e-mails. Finally there was one mail from cs.mumbai@tatatel.co.in from one Mr. Harshad Khade saying that my complaint was under processing and I was given a futile reference number which I could not use in the website anywhere to atleast check the status of my long-ignored complaint. I reminded these people again and now they have stopped responding to my mails. I suspect that this is being done deliberately by Tata indicom to keep their customers in the dark about the usage so that we can be charged exorbitantly in each bill. This clearly shows how much Tata indicom takes their customers for granted. Please help. More than the money its the attitude of such companies that bothers me and I m not going to give up. I have turned to the consumer court with a lot of hope for help. Thanking you.
