Didn't get airtel broadband connection even after more than a month after paying 999. Hi,
Last month (5th July 2011) I showed interest in getting airtel broadband connection (2 mbps unlimited plan) and in the process called airtel executive who came to my place (Mangai nagar, Jafferkhanpet, Chennai 600 083) and asked to fill form and collected Rs999.00 and promised to get the connection the next days but unfortunately no one turned up and tomorrow never came. Now its been more than a month after paying the amount and I am with no connection. I keep calling that executive (Mr Sarvanan, mob: 8056015319) and even his supervisor (mob: 9840318922) daily, they keep saying that the problem is with the software or server and problem will be resolved in 1 or 2 days and I will get the connection immediately.I paid the amount be cheque.
Now will anybody plz help me and suggest what should i do to get the connection or the money back at the earliest.
Otherwise should I go to Consumer Forum?

Hi,
This is Ameya from Bangalore. I also had the same experience from Airtel broadband. I applied for new connection on 12th July and was assured by the salesman that I would get a connection within 3 days. Its almost 4 weeks now, and I still have no connection. I used to call the Airtel customer care within first two weeks and every time they promise to deliver the connection within a couple of days. Finally I registered a complaint in their customer care and submitted a request to cancel the connection and refund my money. Even that did not happen yet. I've sent 3 mails to their cstomer care and several calls. Each time they reply saying that someone would approach me _soon_ . I don't know when that soon would come. They are extremely unresponsive. So far no one from Aritel has contacted me to initiate the refund process. Airtel broadband is pathetic. I've already raised a complaint here to which one of the Airtel's representative replied with a diplomatic answer (tried fooling me with political promises).
Even I'm not sure what to do.

lets kick this rakesh kumar ( Airtel Customer Service Team) first ... for every complain he copy and paste the same message... i paid 500 adv for 4mbps line.... its about 23 days still waiting.... this idiots have wasted my time like anything.. am not going to leave them... anyone wanna join me ??

Hello Airtel Team,
I am very unhappy to tell you that this has been continuously 2 weeks I did'nt receive any communication from your side regarding my new connection, I have spoken to a guy named girish but even he is not able to help coz he says it is a technical problem in you system, i am not sure if i can get good customer service after i take the connection as you (airtel team) guys are least bothered about the new connections as i have to run behind you people in order to get a new connection, the order was taken on July 29th and i have to wait 2 weeks for a new connection which is not acceptable as i guess you guys dont need any business from me. I had to run behind the guys you took my application and he promised me that the connection would be done the next day and after that he has stopped picking my calls and after forwarded my issue to girish who is telling me that it would be done and cant promise me a finite date or time.
IF YOU ARE INTRESTED WITH THE NEW BUSINESS LET US KNOW SO THAT WE WILL CHOOSE ANOTHER VENDOR WHO IS READY TO GIVE ME A BETTER SERVICE.
look into the matter ASAP as this is effecting my work.
