    Angry Complaint against Airtel : Incorrect billing and harassment

    This is to inform you that I am being falsely implicated by Airtel asking me
    to pay ~ Rs 16000 for a broadband connection (02240152362) which I don't
    even use. I have been called by Airtel employees since the last 5-6 months
    for this payment multiple times. *Each time after explaining the issue I get
    an assurance from them that this will be resolved and I shall receive a 'no
    objection certificate' within 3-4 days*. This never happens and instead I
    get tortured by phone calls over and over again. I had contacted the nodal
    officers, legal officers as well as the appellate at Airtel and did not get
    any response to the numerous mails and phone calls.

    The connection (a) 022-40152362 was discontinued in Mar-April'2010 and a new
    connection (b) 022-40158923 was established at my residence. All the dues

    were settled for the connection (a) and it was also physically terminated by
    Airtel service personnel.
    However, Airtel did not stop the bill generation for (a) and I informed
    about the same to Airtel Customer care as well as the the local Airtel
    billing office (Saki Naka / Andheri East) many times. *I kept getting verbal
    assurances from them but the false billing continued followed by calls to
    pay the very same bills.*

    I can send you the various email conversations and also the names of the
    Airtel employees who I have had talks with on this matter.

    Yo reiterate my point, last week I got a phone call which was totally useless and a wastage of fifteen minutes of mine as the person speaking did not have any clue about this case. He said ridiculous things like giving me a waiver of Rs 184, saying they have deleted all my account information from their records. The email was just like another email from Airtel stating complaint numbers and seeking my cooperation etc.

    I request immediate solution for this issue and intervention of higher (competent) Airtel officials. As I had mentioned earlier, I have done everything including emails and calls to many Airtel officials and concerned authorities and have been utterly disappointed !

    I request you to help me as soon as possible before Airtel causes further
    mental agony and puts false legal cases against me.
