Harrassment and no broadband connection or refund by airtel people. Around 20thApril 2011 I had applied for a new connection for airtel broadband
(1099 plan). Your executive who came to my place assured me that there are no
technical problems and my connection will be put up by 1st May. I had stressed
on or before 1st May as I was disconnecting my old connection and without
broadband we lose out on work.
But after constantly calling the executive from 29th April on wards for the
connection he said it cannot be one before 3rd May and finally on 5th May he
said that there is some technical problem in the area I live in so the
connection is not possible. By this time he had stopped picking my calls so I
had no way to reach him for a refund of the money I had paid him (Rs. 1099).
Then I called airtel customer care for refund of the money and though they
assured me it will be done within 2 days but I never got any call from
anyone!!! O n complaining again the same statement was made but to no avail.
My complaint number is :: 46135718.
Then i contacted nodal office and airtel presence for further action but this time a funny thing happened after 'n' number of calls and 'n' verifications that what I am saying is truth Nodal office mailed me back that a cheque has been given to me last week and thus my problem is solved and the Nodal officer' name was given as SABA FATHIMA and the phone number given was wrong!!
What kind of company is this which without issuing any cheuqes claims that it has issued cheques!!!
I have lost the time and energy to track back my money and such
un-professionalism by your company.
I request you to look into the issue as soon as possible and please solve my
problem.
I was not expecting a company like Airtel to have such customer service and I
have experienced really bad service at all ends in this encounter.
