    Default Airtel- Broadband Connection - Harassment at the hands of Customer Care of AIRTEL

    Hi,

    I had a broadband connection and recently I shifted to another place. Since I did not want to keep the broadband connection anymore I had decided to place a request with AIRTEL for closure of the same. I had lodged the First request for broadband connection closure on 16th Nov,2010 at 0124-4441250. The customer care executive had given me the following request no # 33464528 and informed me that Rental would freeze in next 24 hours and service discontinuation will take place in one week.

    After 2 days when I inquired with AIRTEL about the status of the "Request ID# 33464528" they first did not even acknowledge that there was a request placed with them. But when I kept on insisting they eventually admitting that the request was in fact there in there database but it was not regarding the broadband service discontinuation. Instead, to my shock they told me that the request was regarding the complain related to "phone line not working properly."

    After much haggling with these guys, they placed a new request for broadband service discontinuation and again told the same story about the rental freeze. This time the Request_ID # 168985794 was given and a promise was made that the broadband service discontinuation will happen for sure.

    The very next day I had paid all the outstanding amount due of 994 rupees on 20-Nov-2010 and thought the Nightmare Called AIRTEL is over for me. But after a lull of 4-5 days AIRTEL customer care decided to make my life hell again and decided to call on a daily basis. Everyday they called , I duly informed them that I had placed a request for broadband service discontinuation and had paid all the outstanding amount in advance.

    Since then AIRTEL customer care guys have called me N numbers of time to know why I wanted to discontinue the service. Every time I explained them the same thing again and again.

    Finally, when I was working peacefully in my office suddenly AIRTEL customer care guys called and said they have received a request regarding the problem with landline connection. When I told them that I had closed the connection long back and since then have never placed any request for any damn problem with Phone line.

    But to My surprise, someone supposedly an AIRTEL Engineer called me up to know the problem with landline and wanted to fix it despite being told that the Broadband line service was discontinued log back.

    I really do not know what to do about this nightmare called AIRTEL.

    Thumbs down Airtel broadband disconnect

    Dear Sir,

    I had requested airtel to disconnect the internet connection, for which i had first called the customer care , and after which they had said me to write a mail to
    121@in.airtel.com

    From which an autoreply was generated, but after this autoreply no further mail was received or a call regarding disconnection was also not yet received.

    The reason why i want to disconnect my airtel connection is i had a plan of unlimited for which high speed usage was upto 10gb, but as the month start, and even if my modem is turned off and i am not using the internet within 2-3 days i get a mail that my high speed usage is over.

    What cheating is this, i have complained several times but all in vain, no one has considered this to be a serious issue, like this many of my friends have faced same issue,
    and have shifted to other service providers.

    Also the during the connection i had requested them that i dont want a landline, so they dint give me one. But when i get bill in dat it show i have a landline and on top of that there are some calls being made to some numbers which i dont know as i dont have landline.

    I request you to please disconnect the connection.

    Hi,
    I live in veerannapalaya Near Nagavara Bangalore.
    I applied for airtel broadband online and they said its not feasible in my area and that was the end of it.
    After a few weeks i got a call from santosh (9620004067) claimed to be an airtel executive. He came to my office premises and collected the documents for airtel broadband for the Transonic 1250 plan.
    I paid him Rupees 1250 on 9/10/2012 and gave him the documents. After that i got a confirmation call from 8041115670 confirming the connection.
    since then there is no progress in my airtel installation. I tried calling the santosh is mobile is switched off. I tried calling 8041115670 the guy who picked up said. his manager would have called and he will call me back to me soon, which didnt happen either.
    The application number the santosh gave me is 433593
    Please kindly resolve this issue for me

    Default Airtel- Broadband Connection : Modem Faulty

    Hi,

    I am raising a compliant for airtel worst service to making the delay for replacing a new modem. This issue occured on last end of month and i have raised the ticket and excutive came and checked the issue. He informed that there is a issue modem and wants to replace it with new one with free cost since it is under warranty period and then in the middle they have closed the two ticket which was raised by me. So far, i have raised three tickets for this issue. the following ticket(31281514) is currently in progress and i dont know where is pending. I have reached the customer and they confirmed that new modem will be replaced today before 7:30 PM but not resolved yet.

    Again, i have contacted the custmercare and they informed that it will be replaced within 14th of April. I never seen worst service like this. Almost completed half of month for this issue. I need this issue to be resolved within tomorrow end of the day.


    If someone can help me in any regard, please do let me know. My contact number is mentioned in the ticket.

    Default Airtel broadband connection closure - harrassment by airtel even after getting the NOC

    I moved out of my house at HAL bangalore and have frequently asked the customer care to close the internet account. after so many requests, i have been receving bills even though i am not using the internet connection. Finally, i approached the airtel office and cleared the due of 3k+(for which i have not used a single rupee worth of) and got the final settlement and NOC letter. Now i am getting calls from airtel and some lawyer saying that they have sent out a legal notice and i have to pay 1500/- more to clear my dues. This is unjust and is nothing but harassment of comman man. can anyone take action on this? Corporates seem to have turned predators trying to make thier ledger graphs look higher.
