    Default Airtel wrongly retaining my Cancellation request without my consent

    Dear Sir,

    I had a really bad experience with Airtel Broadband services (0120-4138970 cross connected)

    My landline phone was cross-connected and my internet was not working since May. Airtel was not able to
    resolve this issue and has been retaining my connection by giving false promises. (Ekta - 011-45614004).
    Twice my cancellation was retained after I agreed that Airtel will send someone to my premises but nobody
    came over.

    I raised a final cancellation request ( 34695748 ) on 5th July after paying all my bill due till date.
    (Please note that Airtel promises to end a connection in 7 working days after cancellation is raised).

    When I called airtel on 14th July to find the status they told me that the issue is resolved and that I have
    confirmed this to the technical person who visited my apartment.( Please note that I was out of station that weekend
    and the issue was still existing) I felt very helpless to hear that. Without my consent why my cancellation was retained.

    Customer care guy was not able to answer this and he assured me that he will reopen the cancellation and I
    will not have to pay any bills any further due to delays caused by Airtel. ( Interaction ID 112119).


    I stopped calling Airtel since then. Now after 2-3 months I am getting calls once a week saying that I have an
    outstanding amount and I need to pay. I have already been through enough on this and am on the edge of filing
    a proper case in consumer court against airtel if I am not left alone. I am so much dissatified with Airtel Broadband
    that I have decided to disconnect my Airtel postpaid which I am using since last 6-7 years.

    Thanks for showing concern over the matter. Interestingly I got a call from Airtel few minutes ago. She asked me to pay my outstanding bill. I told her that I have raised a cancellation request in July and paid my bill till then.

    I asked her why cancellation was not done. no answer. She told me I am using the phone till now. I told her I snatched off the phone in July and it is lying in my store room and since it was cross connected, someone else may be calling from my number.

    She suddenly disconnected and disappered after 10 minutes of my explaining the case.

    This is becoming an everyday pain for me and I am seriously very sad to see the quality of service provided by one of the most biggest company in India.
