    Default Forcing to pay incorrect bill and unable to shift connection

    Hi,

    This is regarding Airtel's refusal to correct incorrect bill, calling every day to pay the incorrect amount.

    This was related to request to shift the connection from Noida to Gurgoan (after suggestion from Airtel who suggested to shift rather than cancel the connection at Noida and take new one in Gurgoan!) on 11th September, 2010.

    Till date, they have not shifted, inspite of their own given timeline of 30 days, escalation to Nodal officer (who has not given any solution! wonder if they have ever looked into this or what is their purpose).

    Now they have rolled out bill which contains rental till 16th September, (which is incorrect as i had been told, that rental woudl freeze after my shifting request) and are forcing to pay me entire amount by calling every other day and refusing to correct the bill. See email below:

    I wonder, why customer is being asked to pay incorrect bill.

    They have not shifting within their own extended timelines and asking me to pay wrong bills.
    On queries they are not commiting to even their own timelines and wasting my time and their own.

    Please help and let me know what to do on Airtel's forcing to pay incorrect bill and non shifting of connection. (Strangely neither refusing to shift so that I can go with new connection - various airtel sales personals are ready to install new connection in 2-3 days! as against 40 + unnkown days to shift)

    Dear Rakesh,


    Seems the issue is still open, Airtel is still demanding more and more money even though cancellation was done on 22nd sep, on account of failure of airtel to shif connection whose requets was raised on 11th September.

    Its very starnge that even after I talked to Airtel cancellation department, who said that i need to pay 965 rupees (which contains infact illegal amount tooo - charges till 22nd Sep, tough rent should stop on 11th Sep, + taxes etc) noc will be issued for closure of account, i paid that amount assuming airtel took ~200 rupees more.

    But when i called airtel today to check, airtel is again showing more amount!!! and customer care does not know anything.

    very strange! airtel is keep on charging and charging.....
