    Thumbs down Tata Photon Plus giving pathetically slow speed

    I am based in Hyderabad. I purchased Tata Photon Plus about 2 months back. My account number is 906857989 and phone number is 9246984783. I am getting a download speed of 0.05 Mbps which is just about suitable to open the webpages. But the moment I try to download or stream something it becomes a nightmare for me. I complained about this problem to the customer care and they sent an executive to my home. He checked the connection on his laptop and told me that the signal strength is not adequate. He also told me that I'll be getting an antenna to boost the signal strength. But till now I've got no response from them.
    Hence, I am planning to quit using this product and would suggest everyone in my contact circle to not to buy this product. As they cheat people by false claims of 3.1 Mbps speed.
    If the speed is so slow in a city like Hyderabad then how come this is the best broadband service in India.

    Default Pathetic speeds for TATA Photon plus

    My Ph No is 9225561564 and account no is 978466871. I have taken a 3.1 Mbps connection and the speed I get is not even 0.1 Mbps. I have screenshots of the speed tests conducted to verify the same. I live in Pune (in the heart of
    the city and not some far flung place). If this is the kind of range being provided in a major city like Pune, then what good is the connection. At the time of connection I was told that signal in this area of Pune will be boosted and my current speed will increase many times over. At the current speed I am barley able to browse let alone download anything.

    Would like to know if anything will indeed be done or whether its just hogwash? And if yes when can I expect a resolution?

    Angry Slow speed

    Hi,

    My account no. is 906788038. I was promised a minimum speed of 300 kbps, but i rarely get a speed above 200 kbps, let alone getting the advertised speed of 3.1. i have made numerous complaints to no avail. an exec came once checked the device said something about network signal and said he will resolve it and then no reply. i am terribly disappointed by this. i had lot of respect for tata group but am definitely losing the same

    I am based in New Delhi. I purchased Tata Photon Plus about 2 months back. I am getting a download speed of 0.05 Mbps which is just about suitable to open the webpages.     I am planning to quit using this product and would suggest everyone in my contact circle to not to buy this product. As they cheat people by false claims of 3.1 Mbps speed.

    If the speed is so slow in a city like New Delhi then how come this is the best broadband service in India

    Default Tata Photon+ is coded to push all speeds to 1X with some tricking code in servers

    I am using tata services for 9 years. So I trusted tata photon+
    But I never know that TATA allowed some cheating technical strategies to install photon services.
    I got the speed for first 1 to 2 weeks and later every thing looks like plug to surf.
    I really thank to one of tata customer care executives who revealed the fact that the server has pushed my connection to 1x even when I am in my limit [10GB].
    WOW …… CONGRATULATIONS IN TRICKING YOUR SERVERS. YET ANOTHER SCAM.
    I am not sure how can server can push some ones speed to 1x without giving it the right programming code to do that so. So keep it up guys customer care is becoming the bakara in facing the anger where on the other hand the main server maintenance people are have taken the main job of cheating the public.

    By the by I have taken your technical assistance for three times………………………..[what else can you do to help?] ask me to call another time and get what? assistance in cleaning my temporary folder and recent files folder?
    If my system is having some problem, let us say it can reduce the speed to half… you have given a word of 3.1MBPS so why am I not getting even 1MBPS yaar………………..i am getting 0.15MBPS [my plug to surf speed]

    if any family friend of tata is viewing this message please inform this to tata. all set of incable people are running tata photon services. TATA's were cheated by some technical guys' with false strategy in running this Photon services.
    i don't want help from your technical guys because, i can go and sit in your customer care office until i get the speed. i request all the customers to do the same. invest 5 hours in one day and give a new fear to tata photon customer care centres that people can come down to their offices if they realize that they are been cheated [if their money is hard earned]. please take some local people who can really talk some local language to have your work done.
    Regards and ask customer care next time whether your connection is pushed to 1x speed by the server. you will know the facts.
