    Angry Tata Broadband Service - Bangalore

    I have been using Tata broadband service from 2006 till date. During the period Oct 2006 to June 2008 I use to have the Tata wired broadband service, during this period I have opened nearly 50 to 60 complains for no service or bad service issues. It was like every 15 days the connection will be down for more that 2 day and the response from Tata's service teams was very very bad. Tired with this in June 2008 I shifted to their wimax service, for the first 3 months things were all fine and then the problem started. I am paying Rs 2000+ for a 512 kbps unlimited plan but my bandwidth that I get during the night time is < 100 kbps.

    This problem started for me from Oct 9, 2008 till date it is not been fixed, every time I call the customer care I get a new fault booking number, the funny thing is the ticket will get closed in 3 days with out any resolution to the problem. For the above problem from Oct 9 till date I have got 4 different ticket numbers but no solution to my problem.

    My question to you -
    1. Is there something that I can do, why is it difficult to make sure that the customers get the service that they pay for !
    2. My thinking is very simple, if I have an obligation to make my payments on time then the service provider should also be accountable for the service provided. Currently the situation is customer has all the obligation and the service provider has non, but has the right to charge me even if the service is not rendered to me.
    3. Why are the customer situation so helpless, don't we have any rights
    4. Can't we make sure that the service providers are properly punished for cheating the customers. Taking money and not providing the service is nothing but cheating ?

    WHAT CAN I DO ?

    Hi, We really appreciate your message. Being a customer you have the rights to drag the TATA INDICOM BROADBAND to the Consumer Court if they are not giving you the proper service.
    But before doing anything kindly provide some details.
    Your Name, Billing Address, Contact No.and some complaint no. with date.

    Hey Dude,

    Even I have a very similar story, except for the fact that i am a pre-paid user and all of a sudden broadband connections are terminated and they are asking to migrate to WiMax and its over two weeks now without any results.

    Any help Admin??

    I wanna teach them a lesson

    Thumbs down TATA Broadband Wi max

    I get installed a tata indicom wimax broadband in delhi, It worked fine for 1 month, but after one month start creating problems, like i am using laptop and the frequently pug and un plug the connector, now the connector is very loos and it comes out usually, i called to tata wimax people many times but they are not suppose to come and rectify the problem, finally i went to a hardware shop and buy a connector and a tool. If you have a tata wimax connection then you should know how to make a connector.

    I am Ashwath Kumar From Bangalore

    I applied for TATA INDICOM BROADBAND Connection on Sept 13th 2008 .
    and their agent has taken cash of Rs 1686 /- from me.

    Later on their Persons arrived at my site and found there is no
    feasible service available for Broadband connection in my site.


    So I requested for refund of the amount paid and cancellation of
    application through the agent to whom i gave cash"


    After 15 days I called their cusstomercare number
    The cutomercare persons said "we will install aditional equipment in
    your area by 30th sept 2008 ,So you will be getting the service
    before oct 10'th 2008" [ Case 1]

    So i awaited till Oct 15th and tried to make them provide me service
    by calling agent.

    On Oct 29th 2008 one more agent requested me to submit few more
    documents and proofs and I submitted on same day.[case 2]

    I told to the new agent (who collected additional proofs), for
    quicker closer of my case either by providing service on immidiate
    next day OR close my application if not possible on immidiate next
    day.But Both case they cheated me again [case 3]

    So I wrote complaint to all higher ups through email and asked them
    to resolve and refund my money as soon as possible on Nov 10th 2008.

    In between the new agent has changed my application Date from 13th
    sept to 29th Oct.[case 4] and forwarded for pending.

    Since after Oct 30'th non of the customer care or agents are
    answering my calls I called around 700 times to reach these
    customercare personels (I kept counting ) [case 5]

    Finally Nov 10'th Evening the customercare personel answered and told
    me "Your application request is closed and A chequeue has been
    couriered to your address on Nov 4th 2008 " .I said "I did not
    receive the same as today is 10th Nov ," He said "Please wait "

    Today [Nov 12th 2008] I called the very first agent using my friends
    mobile number (the agent one who collected cash) and after he picked
    up the call ,I asked "why yu were not receiving my call ?" He said I
    already resigned TATA comunications ..!!" and also he said "Sir I was
    agent that time, But I resigned because TATA comunications has not
    paid me salary for last two months ..!!." [Case 6]

    Today [Nov 12th 2008] I realized TATA communications is earning
    interest by keeping my money with them.

    The email I sent them ,requesting cheque and amount details and
    cheque date has not been answered yet.[case 7]


    Please guys look and think of all 7 [case]s and realize the quality
    of the service they are providing and the behaviour of the person in
    this case..


    Now I have got very strong Qustions to TATA comunicationsBangalore
    that

    1)
    "all these agents were "Fake agents ? or what they were"

    2)
    "Will TATA comunications will return me , my amount they kept with
    them ,along interest of two months " ?

    3)
    Do these kind of moralless tortures provoded by TATA comunications
    is legal business ? "

    4)
    Since the time when I first requested for termination of application
    they did not initialise the termination process for my application.So
    I can leagly say TATA comunications is Bloody non sense business
    organization.

    Please provide me a moral support in getting back the paid amount

    But what if the Priya Kumar@9243111517 is not answering properly
    for my call since last 30 days ?

    Imagine its all TATA Communications business.

    Such kind of services can be termed as "Deficiency in service" under the
    Consumer Rights Protection Act.

    Please take this up with the right authorities. You must have something in
    written to substantiate your claim. Hence, letters/e-mails are the best form of
    communication.

    If the agents were fake tata indicom would have told u that they have
    not received any application or money of yr for internet connection in the
    first
    place itself, it is always like this only every where once you give yr
    money there is no response they dont care for business this is india
    they dont care the system is such and we dont have time to fight

    Hi:

    I have carefully studied your TATA Broadband saga. TATA is reputed name but
    broadband service is giving them more dis-reputation than otherwise.

    At Pune too they are arrogant. I suggest you to draft your notice and send by
    name to cluster head of your area. You also ask them compensation for 700
    telephone calls and, mental harrassment and please mention that compensation
    should be deducted from the salary of cluster head / circle head.

    Fight for justice. If you do not they will continue to misbehave.

    So this is the usual behaviour of Tata Indicom . In fact i happened to read this posting only after i had posted some thing similar . In case anyone is going to fight against tata indicom broad band i am ready to join the party

    Default Tata Broadband Service - bad service

    Hi!
    I have taken Tata broadband connection last month. Initially it was working fine. But after that it is not working good. Every time when we are trying to connect, it is not connecting. Sometimes it shows invalid user and pwd. Normally its speed is very slow.
    We have taken 384kbps connection. Everytime we have to call customer care to start internet. We have registered our complaint so many times but still they are not able to resolve the connectivity problem. So we had decided to disconnect the connection. But the thing is we have given 6 months advance and they are saying they can't revert back our money. It's a worst service in the world. They are not dealing good with customers. So i suggest to other that don't take Tata broadband connection. They are giving good offers but the service is very poor.
