    Angry Bharti Airtel fleecing money in name of new connection

    I am from Mumbai and I applied for a new broadband connection with Airtel. Their salesperson immediately got in touch with me and I filed an application on 14th of August for a new connection and was promised the same latest by 21st August. I even paid in advance for 3 months (Rs. 3000 /-) by cheque which was withdrawn by Airtel consequently.

    Ever since 21st August I have been trying to get in touch with the salesperson to enqire about the status of my application but to no avail. So much so that he no longer picks up my calls. On calling the local Airtel office the receptionist turns my calls off abusively. After a lot of effort I got through to the lineman who informed me that he never received any work order for my application and moreover there was no connectivity to my place. However, while filing the application I was reassured by the salesperson that a new office was built in my area and so there was connectivity there.

    After repeatedly talking to the boss of the salesperson I have in resignation decided to book a police case for fraud against that salesperson and Airtel since money has been drawn from my account and no commitment honoured by Airtel.
