I was using broadband connection of Reliance communication till Nov 2009. I gave the request for disconnection of broadband in October and finally i recd the communication that by 12 Nov my braodband will be disconnected and was done so. But when i recd the bill for Nov 2009, it was billed up to 21 Nov that is the full month cycle. I objected to the bill as broadband was disconnected on 12 Nov which they agreed and asked me to pay the last bill after adjusting the amount which they calculated and informed me which I paid. But to my surprise again in the next month cycle i.e. 22 Nov to 21 Dec, I got the full month rental bill. But despite my strong objection and repeated emails I was not given any satisfactory reply and was asked to pay the bill. Where as in the next month cycle bill they have clearly given the details of last bill which was adjusted due to termination of connection. Also the Wimax equipment which was installed at my premises was taken off on 30 Nov for which I have customer service termination advice letter with me.
From then on I have been receiving the calls from Reliance Communication for the payment of the last bill which I refused to pay and told them to rectify their record as I have no dues pending. But they refuse to listen and I kept getting the calls. Now one proclaimed lawyer started giving me call from Jaipur High Court that they have a case pending against me from Reliance Communication regarding one non-payment of bill.
I would like to ask your advice about what to do in this case and how I can file a complaint against the harassment and this cheating and what help I can get from consumer court.
