    Default Tata Photon Very Low Speed of around 5 kbps, when photon promises 3.1mbps!!!

    I mistakenly bought this Tata Photon plus connection for which i am regretting now. I am just getting a speed of 5kbps in Jayanagar, Bangalore which is considered as the heart of the city.

    Is this what Tata is advertising so much for providing such a pathetic service. Everywhere i see it's hoardings displaying "carry speed"..is this what we will carry with us-5kbps?? Huh!!!

    I completely agree with u. Tatas should stop giving misleading advertisement of their pathetic Tata photon + service. I too also get download speed of 10 kb to 40 kbps max. This is hardly a High speed internet.

    TRAI should look into the matter and stop tatas from promoting their pathetic service as High speed internet.

    Angry SUPER slow TATA PHOTON+ connection !!!

    I have been using tata photon+ for approx an year now !!
    Initially the speed was excellent but now for the past month or so i hardly get download rate of 20kb/sec !!!
    I'm not even able to open my mails,Facebook etc...

    hope TATA people see this and help me out immediately !

    Default speed desaster with photon plus

    Hello friends, i am staying at kalyan using my tata photon plus from last month. I purchased this device from Pune and the sales team was saying me that i will get speed of 3.1 mbps but i am not getting tghe speed.

    sometimes i have to wait for minutes and minuts to load page. till today i called 2 times to custmer care to resolve this problem but the only answer i am getting is " you will get call from our technical person in next 12 working hours" on next day phones rings and there executive just ask what is you problem? after getting details he not do anything.
    in last call he has taken my full current address and leaves me by telling he will call me after 5 min. still i am waiting for call.

    tata is loosing its faith no one should trust on tata's

    Actually i dont want to complain bt i want the users to realise the actual meaning of these speeds advertised by these companies.
    I'm from bangalore and using tata photon + unlimited 5gb plan.I was told i will get speeds of 3.1Mbps.But see here the term (Mbps) does not mean Megabytes per second but it means Megabits per second(MBps).pls understand this you can never get 3.1megabytes in 1 second.Dont think that you will be able to download a 3MB file in 1second.
    3.1Mbps=3.1*1024=3174.4Kbps(kilobits per sec)
    when you divide this number by 8 you get the actual speed of ur connection.This value is in KiloBytes per sec or KBps.
    see 3174.4KBps/8 = 396.8 KBps(kilobytes per sec)
    this is the maximum speed that ur 3.1Mbps connection is capable of.
    Due to wireless connection,and due to multiple tachnology factors ,there is great data loss while downloading.
    Hence,u get around 100KBps or even 50KBps.
    But if u use internet download manager or free download manager u can reach 300KBps..:D

    the tata photon is the worst brond brand i have ever used because there is no speed n no coverage i m not at all satisfied with the service provided by tata photon

    Default tata photon bad customer service

    i own a tata photon+ connection since 01/03/2012.. till now i made at least 10-15 calls in customer care regarding different different problems viz.: device not working, device replacement, connection problem for 4-5 days and many more and now today my when my device was unable to coonect using tata photon+ service, then i called customer care and they said your 5gb data is over, so your speed is capped..
    But i want to say that how can a person use 5GB in 8 days without downloading audio/video/movie.. i watched maximum of 5-7 videos on youtube and downloaded 30-35 PDFs files like bank receipt or job advertisements. but they didn't agree with this..
    now please someone help me that how can i launch a complain on consumer court regarding this.
    my photon number is: 9214318093.
    my last complint no. is: 707532060.
    please reply immediately.
