    Unhappy MTNL Broadband Mumbai

    I am consumer of MTNL Broadband serivce and am facing lot of service problem from them in Mumbai. I am an engineering student and require internet for myt studies' research and provision . But I am facing a problem of Frequent Disconnection and hence cannot avail the same.I have complained for the same a number of times. I've faced this same problem in may2008 which was only solved after more than 50days.Now again i am facing the same and again its been over 15days to my first complaint. The main problem is they register my complain once and it seems they dont forward it and when i ask them to register a new complaint they refuse saying the last is still pending. Also wen i ask to speak to superior or area incharge they provide me with all together different phone numbers. I am not able to find a way to get my job done and also i want to now file a case against them for lack of proper service and refusal to register my complaint. I hope some1 wud/cud help me serve them.

    Hi,
    All metropolitan cities in INDIA where the MTNL is providing the broadband services, more than 90% of the broadband consumers are facing the same problems regularly and no one is looking in this matter, the service is pathetic which may help other private players. As this is a Govt. department, employs don’t take any tension, because they will get their salary on time.
    Some visitors are also informing us that the MTNL employs are taking bribe from the other private operators, that’s why they are giving such type of pathetic service to their consumers.
    You are the consumer, and have power to drag the MTNL to the consumer court and ask them any thing related to the service. Before going to consumer court just submit a written complaint to the concern Area Manager, don’t forget to take receiving of your complaint and also meet to the Area Manager personally and tell them the entire problem you are facing.
    Do these basic formalities and if still the problem remains same then contact us again.
