I had taken Tikona Broadband 599 plan on 2nd May 2010. And asked for disconnection on 17th May 2010. I have never seen such bad internet service provider. It used to get disconnected 4-5 hours everyday. Whenever I complained, customer care used to take the complaint and told me a sms would be coming to your mobile and engineer will be visiting your house very soon. I had never got any SMS, no engineer had come to my house to check the problem. After suffering like this, I decided to disconnect the service and submitted my request on 17th May 2010. Customer care told me it would be disconnected within 7 days and asked me not to use the service. I didnt use the service since 18th May 2010. Nobody called me up after that from Tikona regarding the disconnection, nobody came to my house to take their modem etc. I called them repeatedly but they kept on saying that it would be disconnected within 7 days. Today I got a bill of Rs 580 for 15 day usage and the billing cycle is 2nd May - 26th May. Customer Care was not able to show any good reason for the bill amount and asked me to pay the bill, told me again that it would be disconnected within 7 days.
I am really surprised, what sort of company is this. I am feeling like I am mentally tortured by them.
I want to know how can I take an action against for my sheer harrasment.

I got similar experience with Tikona. I repent the day when I took decision to go for Tikona.
Whole story is as follow:
I took the connection on 3 Oct 2010. I took quarterly plan FUL599 for 2260 rupees. It went good for 7 Days then line got dropped. I was not able to login also. I made several complaints to Tikona customer care. They said engineer is coming but no engineer appeared. Complaint ticket was automatically getting resolved. For 2 months I was doing the same. I hardly used it for 4 to 5 hours.
Then I requested for closing down the connection on 3rd Jan 2011. They closed it on 6th Jan 2011 and gave me final Settlement receipt.
Now Tikona billing department is continuously calling me for bill for 1300 rupees. I told them I already paid for 3 months and closed the connction within 3 months. I used it for hardly 4 to 5 hours and these people are now asking me to pay the bill forcefully. I was mentally tortured by all this. Collections guys are coming to my home to collect the bill.
Instead Tikona should refund me the money I paid for 3 months.
Whether should I go?

let every one be advised that TIKONA wireless is a pain in the neck affair. My story is a bit different and i advice all the troubled people to follow what i did. First of all contact the nodal officer of your state , send him a few mails and keep proof of them(get the mail ID from the help line). This might make things move in the right direction (dont bet on it). If they fail to solve your problem then send a legal notice to the head office and the local office with RPAD. If they still fail to respond ,then file a case in the consumer forum , which is what i did in mysore and I am very proud to say that in a matter of 8 months my case was settled and the court has ordered TIKONA to pay back my money with interest. Not only that the consumer court has ordered for damages as well (penalty). Now I am very happy that in a small way I have taught TIKONA a lesson. I hope many will do the same in our own interest to stop being taken for a ride. If required I can provide help/advice in my small way if required by anybody. Tikona is really cheap and non-responsive company. I have decided to drag them to consumer court in Pune. I have enough evidences. I am thinking to form a group of people disappointed with this service provider and sue this company so as to teach Tikona Management a lesson for good. Whay say?
