    Default Legal notice threat from Reliance Broadband

    Hi,
    I had taken relaince broadband in Nov 2007 and used it hardly for 6 months. All the times I faced many issues with it. After which I asked them to disconnect my connection. I had called many times to the reliance customer care asking to send somebody to collect the euipments. I was also about to change the house after that. Nobody from reliance turned up and later I shifted my house.
    Now after 2 years, they are calling me asking to pay me due amount for the euipments and for other things what not.. I am not sure of. They are also threatening that there will be case against me and a legal notice will be sent.
    I have the final mail sent to them where in I had mentioned that I will not be responsible for the equipments if nobody is collecting it from my house. There was no reposnse even after that. There were many complains made by me for which I still have the complain numbers. But when I checked with the call center, they say the number are not valid and they dont have any information on these number now.
    I do not know what to do now. Please please help me regarding this. What should I do on this?

    I too have the same problem,
    I got Reliance data card connection during the month of June I hardly used for just 10 days at the max and the connection got disconnected before the end of the month and when I called the cutomer care and enquired abt this, they said it would be rectified soon but ever since june 09 I didnt have the data card connection. i thought the connection was disconnected but to my great surprise bill for the month of july was generated.
    Now again I called the customer call ppl and enquired abt the bill they said my data card was not diconnected and I further told them I have no connection at my home... they insisted me to pay the bill if the connection has to be completely cut so I had to pay INR around 900 without using the connection but after that also 3 mnts bill was generated...
    Reliance customer care ppl had been calling me through out the year asking me to pay the bill of Rs1700....
    Now I have received a Legal Notice from the local advocate to come for a settlement to the advocates office... I am really confused... please help me out

    Hi,
    I took a reliance broadband connection , I shifted my house and reliance could not provide their services at my new place and so I disconnected it in the month of June-2010 as they were not able to provide service anymore.
    Now even after 3 months they keep sending me bills and legal notices threat.
    Please suggest what is the appropriate action I could take against them.

    Dear sir,

    My Reliance Broadband Subscriber ID -382761249801. In Starting January-2012 I start facing internet disconnection and During this period I had contacted reliance customer care many times everytime I contacted they told that "there is some technical work going in your area, so we cannot register your complain now, when the work will over we will contact you". but no one contacted there after.Then I again contacted reliance customer care on 30th January-2012 and then my complained was registed but solution was provided.Instead of so many Complain no.s registered 171356491, 171436243, no solution will be provided and then their executives are not registering any complains saying that we are forwading the same complain. it is very very bad service from reliance. I had then asked to stop my connection on 2nd feb 2012. On 5th Feb-12 my internet connection was restored after more than one month, But I told them that I dont need that now, as per my intimation I had already taken a new connection from another service provider.

    On 7th feb-12 I got a mail that your request has been registered under Service Request ID 171951294 and one of our executives will contact you in the next 48 hours.
    Further to inform you that post cancellation you need to return the instrument or else will be charged Rs. 1500/- for Broadband equipment and Rs. 1250/- for Fixed line instrument.

    On 7th feb-12 I wrote them that You can take back your instrument anytime and I dont have any bills pending except this months bill, waiver for which I have applied as per below conversation. So it is very clear that I have to return only the instrument to you and have no pending bills to pay.

    In between they generated one more bill against my account and I have mailed may times to them that please dont generate any such bills bcoz I was not liable to pay.

    I sent many mails to them regarding the confirmation for disconnection.

    On 27 feb-12 I got a mail saying;
    Dear Customer,

    We acknowledge receipt of your request for termination of the service. We apologise for not meeting your expectation this time for the services provided by us.

    As requested, termination process is initiated for the subscriber ID 1203016712. Kindly note the rental of your service will be stopped from 16/02/2012. Our representative will be visiting you for the collection of the equipment installed by RCOM at your premises for running the services. Please handover the equipment to him.

    On 20 march they took all the instruments.

    Then again these people continue raising bills against my account and sending to me.

    Then on 29th march I again wrote to them that Please refer to ur mail my internet service had stopped from 16/02/2012, and relaince persons took all the instruments on 20th march-12. Now I am not liable for any payment to reliance so pass the service termination information to your billing department also, they are unknowngly generated bills and sending to me.


    On 30th march -12 I got a mail from reliance saying : This is with reference to your e-mail about billing issue. Kindly note that as checked in the system, there is no due payable in your account.

    Then I was very relaxed that now everything is over.
    But surprisingly yesterday I got a call from any advocate from Mumbai that reliance had logged a case against you if u pay your bill within half an hour then they will not lodge any case.
    Please help me in this matter.

    I had a relaince net connect connection which was working fine till recently about 7-8 months ago I was billed an amount of Rs. 3345 for a usage of 10 days. I went to the reliance
    web world, situated in DLF Phase 1 and put in my complaint. The gentleman sitting there just simply wrote my number in a register and told me that the matter would be resolved in
    30 days. When I did not hear from them again, I went back and this time I was told that the matter has been registered and I will hear from Reliance Communication soon. In the meanwhile
    I got myself a BSNL connection because Reliance had already disconnected my services. Despite repeated visits my problem was not solved.

    After about 4 months I got a call from Reliance Communication twice both of which times I explained the executives across the line. Both times I was promised redressal but nothing was
    done again. Then the calls stopped coming again. I had informed the person on the phone tht I had full intention to pay the due amount but I wanted the bill to be adjusted accordingly.

    Now after 7-8 months I get a call from a Advocate named SK Soni who said that if I do not pay the bill in the next couple of hours, they will issue a non bailable warrant of forgery and
    cheating against me and I would have to pay a penalty of Rs. 25,000 in court. When I asked him if he was threatening me, he said yes I am if you please. Amazing. If only their redrassal
    committee was as prompt as their legal department. Just a bunch of crooks. I ma going to pay this amount UNDER PRESSURE and Strongly resent such high handedness at the hands of
    a service provider. These people will never change.

    I ask here. Is there any redressal to such issues or am I supposed to believe that Reliance Communication can arm twist this money out of me? Is anyone listening / reading?
