Hi,
i am a customer of Shams internet service provider. I have subscribed to a monthly plan of Rs.600/- with unlimited downloads.
Lately, on the 4th of Feburary 2010, i wasn't able to connect to the internet and it gave me a 691 error on the computer. This happens very often.
When i tried calling up the office of any of the workers, they did not respond to the call. At last i had to walk down to their office, which is 10 mins away from my house, and the only thing they had to say to me was that they will send someone to my place in 15 mins.
No one ever came there.
i went to the office a second time and a third time on the same day. Got the same response and nothing happened about it. By this time it was 10:00pm so i let it go.
The next day, the same issue. i had to keep calling them and got no response. One interesting thing here is that my subscriptio expires on the 10th of every month, it was the 5th of feburary, and i got through some one who informed me that my account had expired, and asked me to make the payment. i did not, instead i went to the office to get this sorted, no one was available except on employee, who asked me to call up the numbers. When i informed him what had happened and how no one responds, he told me that he will send some one as soon as possible. No one showed up for 2 hours. i tried calling again and did not get any response.
i went to the office again and was informed that some one has just left to my place. i hurried back home only to realise that no one had come. i waited 2 more hours and no one ever came. At last one of their workers arrived to inform me that the wire was broken and he could not fix it at that time as it was 08:00pm already. he promised me that he will do it before 12:00noon the next day.
On the 6th the internet was working till 7:00pm evening and went off again. Same story on calling them and visiting them at the office.
i went to the officeon the 7th and they did the same thing telling me that they will send some one.
it happened on the 8th as well. that evening i went to the office, spoke to one called Franco, who resetted my account password, and it worked fine till the next day.
on the 10th i received a call 2 times asking me to make the payment. i informed them that i wasn't able to use the services for a week and want compension. They just disconnected the line.
i again received a call on the 12th and this time they informed me that the account will expire if i don't mae the payment. i was very sweet with the guy and asked him to inform the higher authorities that i wasn't able to use the internet for a week. he just said that the company won't listen to it, tehy just want theb money. When i showed my frustration to him by raising the voice, he said that nothing will happen even if i complain or go to the police of the consumer court. i was informed that if i don't make the payment, the account will expire and then i will have to do the form filling and stuff to get it back again.
I made the payment as my internet stopped working right after the call.
But i know that something can be done so that i am compensated for the hassel and the loss for 1 week.

hey i stay in thier building u the owner of shams network is the secretary of our building and i also have his connection and he wont allow any other ISP to enter our building.I can only tell u that u move on to hathway or go behind old ICICI building in kalina or meet me.All staff members of Shams Network are Chor's even the owner.I am also not getting good speed here.
