    Default Reliance Broadband Fraud bill

    Hello Sir/Madam,

    I am reliance broadband customer for last 7-8 months. My Billing Account No. is 100000112613848. I am under the rate plan in which I pay Rs. 725 + taxes per month in which I get 4 GB download and 2Mbps speed. I have been using this plan for last 7 months approximately. My usage never crossed 4 GB because I don't download/upload media files like songs, movies etc. Hence, for my normal browsing 4GB is more than sufficient. This month, I suddenly got a bill 2,829.28 which is way
    more than my usual bill. I am sure, that I have not made huge downloads/uploads, and hence my usage should not cross 4GB in any condition.
    Now, I am asking them to give me the proof of the bill you are asking me to pay. Meaning I want them to give me day by day and web-site by web-site basis break up of my internet usage. On this issue, I have been under discussion with reliance for last 2 weeks. Previously they were not ready to send that and were simply fooling me off. After approaching them so many times they gave me an excel sheet in which they have given day by day basis of data usage but that does not show which web-sites were used to do that data usage. I simply don't believe that as on many of those days, I was not at home and on many other occasions I did not put on my internet. I want them to tell me which web-sites were used to do that much data usage and they say they don't keep track of that.
    I know they are simply fooling me off as they don't have the proper proof.
    I have heard from many other friends and even on this forum many people have raised complaints on reliance producing fraud bills to them. Please take strict actions against reliance and ask them to give me the proper proof of the huge bill they are asking me to pay.

    Default reliance broadband connection

    Dear Sir,

    I have been using reliance broadband *connection since 22 November 2008 *and
    took 3 months advance rental plan. (1100 rs per month , 3300 rs for 3
    months).
    *Reliance User id: 382806406836
    Billing a/c no. : 100000110790283
    A/c no. : 100110144647*

    In the month of *May 2009 *they sent me the bill for one month (i,e for June
    2009). when i complained the customer care for sending me *1 month bill
    instead of 3 months,* they told me to pay for the June 2009 and from July
    2009 onwards i will get my 3 months usual bill.
    Since on their pretext i paid the June bill and from *July* they sent me the
    bill of *5500 rs *and demanded to be paid in July, i,e upto November 2009.
    when i complained again they made the excuse that i took the connection in
    November and my year ends in the month of november 2009, so i have to pay
    upto the month of november or else they will terminate my services.
    I objected to this and they disconnected my services in the first week of
    september 2009. afterwards their people from DSA started calling me now and
    then and abused me and threatened me for not paying my outstanding bill.
    I called several times to the reliance customer care and even spoke to the
    floor manager but all in vain, they had only one answer *" Pay for 5 Months"
    * .
    One day i got a call from Billing department and the lady on the fone
    promised me that my disconnected services would be restored within *24hrs if
    i pay 3000 rs as a cash payment*. i agreed and made the payment but my
    services were not restored, i called that lady again but she avoided my call
    and didnt turn up on the fone again ever. i felt very helpless, cheated and
    duped by relaince.
    They disconnected my services in early september and sent me the bill for
    the period between late september and October. Now they are regularly
    sending me bills to demand payment for the period during which the services
    were disconnected.

    I request you to please help me with this to get rid from reliance and stop
    this unjust they are doing with the innocent consumer like us.

    Default Reliance Broadband compaint

    Hi,

    My name is Vipin Malhotra and i had a reliance broadband connection with User ID
    345553996531.

    On 22nd or 24th of July, I received a call from Reliance that my credit limit has
    exceeded and amount due is Rs. 6308 and if I will not pay the amount immediately my
    services will be disconnected temporarily. I have this connection from the last year
    or so but my billing amount had never exceeded the limit. I told the customer care
    that my bill amounts to Rs. 844 or so every month and so I am not going to pay such
    a big amount. When I asked them to disconnect the connection, they told me that you
    will have to wait for the bill to be generated and then you will have to request for
    the adjustment and then will have to pay for the adjusted amount. Then only the
    connection will be disconnected.

    The bill came on 15th August and my bill was given as Rs. 6308. As told by the call
    center, I requested for the adjustment. Then they called me a few days later that
    the bill has been adjusted and the adjusted amount is Rs. 375. I paid that amount at
    Ananta Enterprise, Sector 16, Rohini, New Delhi (Receipt No. S14397551). Then, as
    told by the call center, I requested for the discontinuation of my connection for
    the same (Request #: 108456755). Then I received a phone call asking why are you
    disconnecting the connection and I told them the same story again and that I am not
    happy with this and so I want to disconnect the connection. They told me that all
    the dues are clear and one executive from Reliance will come and take all the
    instruments within 15 days.

    On 15th September, the executives from Reliance came to my house to get all the
    necessary equipments (Modem, dish, etc.). On that same day, i received one bill from
    Reliance, in which the total amount due is Rs. 247.

    Since i had paid all the dues earlier and all the equipments were taken by reliance,
    i did not pay that amount. I got several calls from reliance asking whether the
    connection whether all the equipment has been taken or not. I gave all the necessary
    information.

    On 15th October, i received another bill amounting Rs. 15,079. When i called the
    customer care they told me that you will have to pay the amount. When i told them
    that i do not have any connection from 24th of July, they told me that they will
    send a request to the billing department. One call from the billing department came
    and i told him the whole story regarding this. He told me if i can provide the
    receipt given by the executives when they took the equipments and he will look into
    the matter and definitely will have the issue resolved. i mailed the necessary
    documents to him, but nobody gave me any call after that.

    Again on 15th November, i received another bill amounting Rs. 15,709. I got a call
    on 3rd December regarding this. He told me that he is the legal adviser from
    Reliance. i told him the same story and he told me that he will SMS me a ID and to
    mail him all the necessary documents and he will also try to get the necessary
    adjustments. He did not SMS me anything and on December 7, 2009 i have received a
    legal notice from Reliance.

    I am really frustrated with this and do not know how to tackle this.

    Please help me regarding this.

    Default Reliance Broadband Bills

    Hi,

    My name is Purab Mehta and I was using Reliance Broadnet Service for more than a year. I used to get a monthly bill of around 800 Rs. For the months of October, November and December I received strange amounts of bills and am really worried the way it is going. In October I received a bill for approx Rs 5100. After placing a complaint, I was given a waiver of around 4200 Rs and the remaining bill was paid. Then in November, I received a bill for around 3300 Rs and even after placing 4 complaints, I was made to pay the amount. After I paid the amount, my internet service was suspended saying that I have used way above my credit limit. Now the customer care is asking me to pay 7,000 Rs to re-activate my service and is claiming that my unbilled usage is around 8009 Rs!!! For the 1st year that I used this connection, I was getting a basic bill of Rs 750 + tax. Now suddenly, I am receiving such heavy bills. I spoke to their customer care agents and all they say is you have to pay the bill. Then I complained to the highest Authorities but never got a reply from any of them. I have been sent a notice by their lawyers and are asking me to pay 8009 Rs or else they will take legal action against me. I have tried to convince them time and again that the bills are inflated but with no luck. In the usage list it shows that I have been using the internet continuously for 24 hours when they have programmed their system in such a way that no user can be logged in for more than 6 hours.

    Please let me know what should be done hereafter.

    Angry Mental harassment by Reliance wireless net services

    Hello Sir/ Madam,

    My name is Anupama Das. I had applied for a Reliance wireless net services around 3 years back. One person named James from Reliance came to my house and explained the scheme and told me to pay just 500 for the instrument, which will be refundable. They came the next day and installed the connection and at that moment it was working. But soon after they left, it stopped working. I made numerous calls to the customer care , attended by different people. No one bothered to come home and check the connections. After one week of futile effort, I made calls to them to disconnect their services. This was also left unheard.

    At the end of the month comes their bill asking me to pay Rs. I985!! I called them again and told them I cannot pay the bill since I have not used their services even for 5 minutes. They kept promising me that they will take necessary action and they will forward the issue to the billing department. Still for almost a year I continued getting calls regarding my outstanding and i kep repeating my story again and again.. it was the heights of mental harassment.

    Then came the calls from Mumbai asking me the reasons for the disconnection request.. this also went on for long.. I forget for how many months..again I had to repeat my vows to them..

    Finally after 2 years of all this drama, one day they came and took back the instruments. I was relieved for the good riddance..

    But that was not all.. now after one year of them taking the instruments back.. comes the legal notice from them asking me to pay the Rs1985..Since I was out of station I came to knw about this after 15 days post the last date. I called the concerned person , Mr Ravi Kumar. He said since I have not responded to the notice with in the time mentioned, they will move to the regular court and if I wish to avoid this they can give me a discount (a big favour) and reduce the amount to Rs.1400. I had to agree for it.. since I neither had the time or patience to drag the issue further..

    But I feel cheated and such a mental torture by a so called reputed company..I will request every one who happens to read this forum to pleeeeeeeeeese not take any connections from Reliance..if you want mental peace.

    Since I have not written them any request letters by mail or post, i do not have any proofs of the requests that I have made, other than the transaction IDs. Please let me know if there is any way I can fight back.. It is not only about the money.. but people should not be cheated like this..
