    Angry Airtel -Broadband Customer Care Harrasment case

    Hi ,
    I had raised the request to transfer my internet broadband connection to my new address.They mention that connection is not possible in my new address Despite of this till date they keep on generation bills and harassing me by calling me to pay the bills for the connection which doesn't even exist.
    Following is the email that i sent to Nodal officer. This email explains my suffering while dealing with Airtel.

    I have a matter of deep concern to report. I have been continually harassed by AIRTEL folks on calls for non-payment of bill for a broadband connection that DOES NOT EVEN EXIST ANYMORE.
    I was customer of Airtel broad band since the last 2 year, my account number being 14644015. When I shifted to a new address I had raised the request to transfer my internet broadband connection to my new address. The customer care they gave me a SR number and told my complaint will be will get resolve in 3 working day (Dated 29th march 2011).
    After that till 1 WEEK NOTHING HAPPENED. I called up the Customer Care again. They gave me another SR and told me again that this will get resolve in 3 working days. Nothing happened till another week.
    I was totally fed up by then and called Customer Care again for the last time and told them to DISCONNECT the connection instead. They again gave me SR # and transferred my call to you retention team. A guy named "Nitya Nanda" spoke to me they gave me assurance that my request will get resolved in 1 day but again nothing happened .

    I called up again and ask them to DISCONNECT the connection again. This time they told me that connection will get disconnected in 24 hrs.
    After some time I got a shock when I got a call from you customer care telling me that I was being charged for the period when THERE WAS NO CONNECTION TILL NOW at all.
    I finally had to go to Airtel office in Koramangala 7th block office , Bangalore and raised my concerns. I got to know that from the Mr Rakesh that the CONNECTION IS NOT EVEN FEASIBLE IN MY CURRENT AREA at all, clearly showing how unprofessional your employees are that they do not even bother informing customers about actual issues. So I again asked them to disconnect the connection. They again gave me assurance that things will get resolved with 2 working day .
    However I kept getting these IRRITATING CALLS time to time and during this phase I visited your Airtel Office innumerable times. And a certain Mr Rajesh Khanna even updated in the my profile stating the “customer is retained” without my consent, when I had clearly stated that I DO NOT WANT THE CONNECTION.
    The other irritating thing is whenever I went to you Airtel Office in Koramangala, Mr Rakesh used to dial up some number and asked me to talk to a team lead by the name Mr. Varadaraj (Whitefiled Office) multiple times. And this Mr. varadaraj told me that he will look into my case and it will be resolved in 2 weeks. But this SAGA WENT ON AND ON. After every 2 weeks I kept ending up in the Airtel office to no effect absolutely. All I ever got from your customer care and folks at the office were NEVER ENDING SERVICE REQUESTS NUMBER.
    Finally on 7th July, 2011 the person in charge at your Koramangala Office asked me to pay only Rs.900/- as this was the actual amount due from my end and he mentioned the rest of the amount will be waived off. He also told me that I would not be receiving any calls henceforth and matter is RESOLVED. The receipt number is 06235009.
    Thankfully in August and September I did not receive any call.
    But all of a sudden again on Oct 30th I got a call from your customer care that MY BILL IS DUE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is very very frustrating indeed. And to my utter surprise hard copy of bill with amount due Rs 2042 has arrived at my new address WHERE CONNECTION DO NOT EVEN EXIST!!!!
    Now please help me understand HOW CAN A BILL BE GENERATED ON AN ADDRESS WHERE THE CONNECTION IS NOT EVEN FEASIBLE AND DOESN’T EVEN EXIST?
    I also want to highlight that when I had the connection at my old address, I had been always a very regular bill payer. But after this experience I would advise everyone NOT TO TAKE Any CONNECTIONS FROM AIRTEL. I am highly distressed and frustrated with AIRTEL services, customer care and folks sitting at your office who don’t have a clue of thing, makes false promises.

    I was having a AIRTEL connection number 8826227773 and was using it for quite so long..and was paying the bill regularly.
    But i got stuck in some problem and was not able to pay my pending bill for 2 months..and it took 1 more month delay.
    Then i was receiving calls from Airtel people to pay the bill for which i informed them that i will pay very soon...
    But without considering this..they sent a collection agent(Named Jatin) from some store in Kirti Nagar..at my place without sending a notice or email or calling me
    and then his behaviour in starting was rude and even i was not my place and then i spoke to that person and that person went back..and after 2 or 3 days..Airtel people took my call details and
    called few of my friends,relative and fellow collegues stating that Ankur's bill is unpaid and kindly tell him to pay the bill..Tat was really Frustrating and gave me a Mental torture..

    Later on i got an email from Airtel Representative"Mr. Kunal Kaushik 9810680147,9810680433. " who sent me an email as a final notice..to whom i called and discussed everything..and he was the one who promised me that he will take action against the Call center and the agent who visited my place without intimation
    and asked me to pay the bill..and i also asked him to send the things in written,..but i have not received any email from them..and they didn't started my services..
    and after soo many reminders to the person through email..no one responded on my email or to my calls..and still my i am facing a problem that i dont have that number which is with all of my friends and fellow collegues.

    Also Airtel people are not ashamed off what they did and even Mr. Kunal Kaushik said.."Jo karna hai kar lo..Case karna hai kar do"..

    I want to tell..These are people who make a Bad Image of brand.."
    Kindly register my complaint against Airtel

    EVEN I FACE THE SAME ISSUE...i HAD ISSUES WITH THE AIRTEL BROAD BANDTHREE MONTHS AGO AND I REGISTERED A COMPLAINT WITH THE CUSTOMER CARE AND THE REPRESENTATIVE CAME AND CHECKED THE CONNECTION AND UPDATED THERE IS NO PROBLEM WITH THE CONECTION AND ISSUE MAY BE WITH THE MODEM AND TOLD ME THAT THEY WILL BRING A TEST MODEM AND CHECK IT AND NEVER GOT BACK TO ME...AGAIN I RAISED A COMPALINT AND IT ENDED UP IN THE SAME PROCESS AND IT REPEATED FOR THE THIRD AND FOURTH TIME ....LATER AFTER AROUNG 1 AND HALF MOTHS THEY UPDATE ME STATING THAT AIRTEL WONT SUPPORT MOEDEM ISSUE AND WE HAVE TO GET A NEW MODEM OR WE NEED TO GET THE SERVICE DONE BY OURSELVES.....AND I REGISTERED WITH THEM TO DISCONNECT THE LINE AND ITS BEEN MORE THAN A MONTH NOW AND THE CONNECTION HAS NOT BEEN TAKEN AWAY YET AND I RECEIVE THE BILLS CONTINUOSLY...WHERE I HAVE TO PAY FOR THE SEVICE WHICH I HAVE NOT USED PROPERLY.......

    PLEASE LET ME KNOW ANY CONTACT NUMBERS TO ESCALTE THIS.

    Angry Complaint - Regarding Airtel Broadband - DSL usage

    Dear Team,

    We are extremely disappointed with the services offered through Airtel broadband connection.

    We would like to explain the issues. Kindly read below.

    Issue :- We are only having Airtel broadband connection. There is no landline connection associated with it. We have never been using it. Still, when we receive the bill,
    everytime the Call Charges and DSL charges are included in the bill. This is happening for past 10 months almost. We have filed complains several times, had conversation with finance
    team as well. They convinced us that this would be corrected from the next bill cycle and the previous amounts deducted would be adjusted in the next bill.
    But that has also not happened.

    Recommended Resolution :- We recommend you to add up all the extra charges paid by us due to this mistake at your end and adjust the same in the next bill.

    Please let us know why the issues have not been resolved till this point of time. Can we request you to please expedite and resolve the issue at the earliest.

    We would like a quick response at your end else we would be escalating this issue to all possible levels including Consumer Affairs forum.

    Dear Sir,I already posted about the airtel broadband issue i am struggling with airtel to close the connection on 23-09-11.under the post "I am HARRASED, I NEED TO ESCALATE THIS MATTER..!! Airtel Broadband"."I was using broadband connection with no as 04442181774. On 31th, june 2011 I requested for shifting of services.till now they not yet shifted the connection but, they generating the bills and sending, as they think without using, and without the connection they can earn money from customers.and i raised a new request #3226764 to close the connection. still they not yet closed the connection and they are torturing me to pay the bill like anything. Airtel is just focusing on generating the bill and collections only.they not even checking the connection is existing or not.please provide any higher officials contact. i can provide the request nos and the persons who called and responed very badly from airtel customer care.they are justing asking to pay the bill for that virtaul connection."till now the issue is not yet resolved and they are telling about some legal notice and all.I have all the documents properly, I am also planning to file a case if they book a case on me. Please help me to resolve this issue.Regards,Vijay.

    Default Closed my all complaint request without rectificat

    Dear All
    Kindly look this matter very seriously.
    I was lodge the complaint several times regarding the Internet not working properly and not attend my complaint by your service team at your customer care (121). Every times your customer care asked me "Sir we promised tomorrow will be rectifying your complaint. But every time without any rectification my complaint closed by your service dept. without any confirmation or signature by our side.
    Please look this matter and checked my last two registered complaints call no 14010560 dt. 6th April & 14765464 dt. 23rd April already closed by your service dept without any rectification.
    If this is customer service then why I continue your broadband connection & why I pay your bill payment if I suffered internet problem last one month.
    Being a big brand I can't accept this type service. If not resolves my complaint from your side within next 24 hrs. definitely I will go to consumer court
    Regarding the all compensation.

    Default Cheating by Airtel

    Hi,
    I was a Airtel broadband customer for several years. On February 2012 I raised a request that my broadband was not working. The Airtel personnel arrived at my home and after some troubleshooting he mentioned that the modem was not working.
    - Then he informed that I will have to pay Rs 800 to get a new modem. Since I was not ready to pay that amount so I raised a request to cancel my subscription.
    - A few days afterwards I got a call from Airtel saying they will give me a discount and I have to pay only Rs 500. I persisted with the cancellation request
    - Again a few days afterwards Airtel got back to me saying that the modem will be provided for free and service will be restored within 24 hours. I agreed to this .
    - But a week passed and nothing happened. Later I called the call center and they informed me that the request was closed. After this I raised a new request for cancellation. I was assured that the account will be deactivated after 7th March. Meanwhile I paid the bill for February even though I was unable to use the broadband services.
    - After that I got a few calls from Airtel requesting me not to cancel the connection , but I persisted with the cancellation request. Then the calls stopped coming. I thought that the cancellation was complete.
    - On 28th march I received a bill for march. Surprised , I called the call center. After checking the service status request , the call center executive informed me that the connection was still active and the service request is closed.
    - Then I sent email to 121@in.airtel.com . The request was taken. However I did not get any confirmation of the cancellation.
    - I got a call asking me to pay Rs 507 as the settlement. I sent them an email for a settlement bill , which was not provided. However , I still paid the bill
    - Today is 30th April and I have got another bill. Now I am tired. I cannot explain how frustrated I am with Airtel.

    What to do ?

    Hi all,

    This is Fenn Russel. My land line no is 04445572348. im the customer of airtel for the past 3,4 years, but from the beginning im not satisfied with it, every month 3 or 4 times we will not have connection, that too in saturday, sunday, we used to call cus care, keep on follow up nothing will happen after 3 days you people respond. it is the duty of airtel to follow up with the customer and satisfy them. Every time we spend our money wait on line, and keep on updating. Is this the better service you give to your customer? From yesturday again we are having problem in connection, raised request, but the problem was still not solved.we called customer care from morning 4 times, the only respond they give is application down, only after we can do, everytime everyday is airtel application down? Then what for airtel? your website says your aim is to give quick service in which we never got any quick service in this 3 years. Hope we will soon move from this broad band. My friends too says the same.. hope u will lose many customers regarding this. that will stop our work tention... Dear sir/Madam, if this problem is not done with a permenant solution i will surely register a complaint in consumer court for irregular service of airtel.

    Angry I am harrased by fraud of airtel

    I am really pissed of with the service and moreover with the response given by the employees of airtel.i am using airtel landline and DSL connection no. 0124-4006063. I have got a bill of Rs 1500 extra , which as per the bill details is for smartbyte pack. But I have not taken any smartbyte pack at my end.I want this Rs 1500/- to be taken off from my bill or details of the PC from which the activation request was given ,with MAC and IP address should be given to me so that I can investigate at my end. Kindly help me with a resolution and not framed answers.
