    Angry Airtel customer support misguidance

    Hello,

    I recently got an Airtel Broadband connection for Rs.799 plan which clearly states that any calls made by the telephone will be charged. I was aware of this plan and was not using the telephone for making calls.

    After a week I got a call form customer support executive of Airtel, a lady who spoke wanted to reconfirm the plan and all the details and if the broadband was working fine and also gave me the details for billing address and finally she said I can make free calls up to 500 calls from my landline and the offer is newly introduced. I clarified with her regarding my plan but she insisted on the free offer.

    Later I used the phone but not to an extent of 500 calls but for 51 calls for which I am charged Rs. 270/-. When I called customer support for clarification after long wait and dialing N numbers of 1's and 2's, I got to speak to an executive who said my plan did not have any free calls. I told him regarding their customer support's free offer etc.... but he just took my complaint.

    Promptly next day got a call form an billing executive saying that I had misunderstood regarding the free calls and I could make free calls only from Airtel to Airtel landline up to 500 calls. There was no option left except pay the bill.

    "DEAR ALL BEWARE OF AIRTEL OVER ENTHUSIASTIC CUSTOMER SUPPORT" .
