Guys, unfortunately I also fell prey to the offer by “connectindia.in/Reliance-Data-Card” (Vriti Infocom) which comes as the first link if you do a search for reliance broadband netconnect. I submitted my details on the net & in turn promptly got a call from Ghanashyam (9654181072) call centre in Noida.

Having agreed to subscribe, was referred to Dinesh (9920551022) a representative of Vriti in Mumbai. As agreed, a third guy Sameer (9870612868) came on 14/10/2009 and collected the form & cash of Rs 3500 from my residence at Wadala (East) – Bhakti park and promised that the connection would be activated on the same day.

After rigorous follow-ups with reliance and Sameer, I managed to get the connection activated the next day but was of no use as I was not able to connect to the broadband network. Most of the time I could not find the broadband network or whenever there was network I got technical or other errors. I could connect only twice to the broadband network in last 2 weeks and that too with a maximum speed of 40-50 kbps

Have been calling reliance helpline since then, but with no success. The calls to Vriti's persons went unanswered. Finally, I was told to visit web world to check for technical problems or to speak to network team for the network issues.

Now comes the interesting part - on my final call to the customer care on October 24, 2009, I was told that my subscription has been SUSPENDED and the reasons being CONFIDENTIAL cannot be told to me by the customer care and hence, was advised to visit the reliance web world to understand the reasons.

Though being in Reliance's web already, I went to the Reliance Web World at Veer Nariman Road, Churchgate to understand the reasons for suspension. After waiting for around 40 minutes for my turn to come, was told that even they are not aware of the reasons and "As a matter of Process" they need to write to the back office to understand the reasons, which obviously would require me to re-visit them after couple of days.
Arguments around this brought a senior person () in to picture who finally managed to drop the bomb on me - I was told that Reliance has a exclusive tie-up with somebody called Shweta Communications for certain areas including Wadala (East) – Bhakti park and hence, Vriti was not authorised in first place to sell data cards in Wadala (East) – Bhakti park and hence, my connection being unauthorised has been suspended.

Solution provided?? I was asked to go back to Vriti and return the data card, get my money back and apply afresh for a reliance data card with the web world (I assume that they were being sarcastic in expecting somebody to comeback to reliance again!)
Asked if they can help me anyways - answer was a firm NO. On insistence - was given a telephone number of a nodal officer, which no body answered
I requested the web world guys to register my complaint or give me in writing whatever they told me but they refused firmly. Their response was that they cannot help as it is not a problem at Reliance's end and I should go back to the vendor who sold me this card.

The response from Reliance was very disappointing. Vriti being a channel partner for Reliance, they can’t just wash their hands off the entire matter by simply returning the customer. More so when they have registered the connection initially and activated the services

I have been trying to contact the Vriti's team (Ghanashyam, Dinesh & Sameer) since then but with no avail. After dozens of failed calls, I wrote a stern message to the 3 guys, maybe which made Dinesh to answer my call. Response?? Ignoring his tone for the time being, he referred me to another guy called "Jay". On my refusal to speak to another guy & narrating the story all over again and on insistence on him speaking to 'Jay" directly or at the max we jointly speaking to Jay, the response which I got was “THATS IT!!" and the guy disconnected the phone. He did not answer any calls after that.

What should I do?? I am currently contemplating a criminal complaint with police of fraud & cheating against Vriti Infocom, Ghanashyam, Dinesh & Sameer. Further a complaint in consumer forum on Reliance Communications, Vriti Infocom, Ghanashyam, Dinesh & Sameer to seek full refund of Rs 3500, termination of the post paid connection and damages. Further, there is no network coverage of broadband at my address contrary to the claims made by Reliance, entitling me to full refund on account of their inability to provide me the agreed services. Would request you guys to suggest some good lawyers who handle such matters or suggest some tips or alternative remedy which you might think is viable. Lawyers - please feel free to contact me.

PS –

1) I am ignoring currently the fact that I was given wrong information about the plans initially which led me to subscribe to the wrong plan. For this I managed to get a complaint registered with Reliance before suspension.
2) I have not been given a goa trip offer which was promised at the time of sale
3) Further, the broadband network in WADALA is pathetic and its not possible to connect to broadband anyways.

This is what we called unprofessionalism, you purchased a Reliance connection and this is their duty to provide you service, I don’t know why they people are harassing you, its the internal matter between the Reliance and it’s channel partner then why they are creating problem for you.
If you want to drag them in the consumer forum then you have to do one basic formality, just send a written notice to your area nodal officer via registered post or email, mention all the details in it, and ask them for the refund + damages + 12% interest with in the mentioned time of 15-20 days.

I applied for reliance netconnect broadband+ on 21st December 2009 on internet, i got call on 22nd from Shikha from delhi saying i will be receving device( datacard) i recived the data card on 23rd December 2009, and i was told to send soft copy of address proof, since i moved to new own house i have address proof as property sales deed which is in my father name and i was told by sales person sent by vriti (shekar mb : 9590067274 ) they will manage with it and get connection in my name.i sent PAN card copy of mine and Voter ID of my father and all sales deed copy to albert.j@vriti-interactive.com on 24th December 2009.
since then i'm calling shekar and my call was not attended deliberately. i was helpless. i called customer care many times from my personal number. i was told to contact nearest reliance web world. so called door deliver( from reliance ) and im asked to roam arround city.
i called shikha and told my concern on 28th december 2009 , i.e. today.after that i got call from albert. he was not at all aware of my connection till today. it is already 6 days delay. and i was asked to change the connection in my father name and told, if not connection will get still delay. and i was asked few personal details which was wrong info and hurt me more than not getting a netconnect connection.
i just asked why was so dealy and this would have told to me 6 days back. and now i was made fool saying address is in my father name and it will get delay if need it in my name.
i feel like im fooled and cheated and i'm no more intrested keeping the inactive datacard. i want my money back.

I have faced almost the same problem and my money is not refunded yet. I have applied in reliance customer support mail id for broadband on 3rd Nov. Next day a guy (Gurvinder-9711567405, gurvinder.s@vriti-interactive.com) from Vriti-Interactive called me and offered me a reliance datacard plan. 4th Nov I have paid online Rs.8495 for an unlimited 1year plan and they delivered me the datacard on 6th Nov and told me that my account will be activated within Monday i.e7th Nov. As my account was not activated I called them several times and at last 12th Nov Mr. Rajesh form Vriti called me and said that the plan they have offered me does not even exist in Kolkata and tried to convince me that I can take any other available offers. But I rejected their offer and told them to refund my money immediately. After that on 18th Nov Mr. Sumith Surendran <reliance.care@vriti.com>sent me a mail that and the mail says –
We would like to inform you that we have cancelled your Reliance Broadband services and the refund cheque shall be delivered to you within next 8-10 working days. We request you to kindly bear with us in the interim and confirm us with receipt of the same.
I waited for their response, sent e-mail, called them several times and on 15th Dec again Mr. Sumith snet me a mail saying –
We sincerely regret for the inconvenience caused to you.
We would like to inform you that we are sending you the refund cheque (cheque number 781983) and the same shall be delivered to you within next 2-3 working days. Hope you will bear with us in the interim.
But till now there is no response from their side. I have called them a thousand times. Sometimes they pick up the phone and gave me some excuse, sometimes they make the phone on hold. I don’t know what to do. Please give me some advise , whether I should take some legal steps or anything else.

i am using Reliance Net Connect Broadband and i got a offer from Virti Infocom for GOA Tour but when i am using the link provided by them, my MDN no is showing invalid.

Even I got a call from Vriti within five minutes after registering with Reliance's website.

They asked me to make an online payment while talking with them. However, I didn't fall for them and asked for 5 minutes to make the payment. Meanwhile, I did a google search for the company's name and found many complaints against their nexus and fraud. Consequently, I didn't purchase the data card from them.

Thanks for the forum and posting your protests. It really spreads awareness and helps others make decisions. I hope that your money is refunded asap.

I have a similar issue

For me as well the activation took more than 2 weeks, and that too because I used to call this guys constantly each day. Good that I had doubt on these guys so I stored their numbers and was able to follow-up or else I would have been in same boat. I had tried reliance customer support and they had no clue and in fact they said this number belong to someone else. But finally after tons of headache i was lucky to have my net connect activation working

Now it’s almost more than 6 to 7 months I purchased the card form this guys I have not received
- one month free
- Or any Goa 3 days 2 night gift voucher
I tried contacting the sales guys they don’t pickup or replay back, I threaten them with action but i guess they know I am just angry with their trick and won’t be able to do anything

and to add to my misery reliance support guys clearly denies any such deals from reliance. So basically I was fooled and cheated to get the sales done.

If anyone wants to get Virti/Reliance Behind bar, for cheating and selling lies, I will support it

I have subscribed Reliance netconnect through Vriti.com by paying Rs. 2999. They offered me one month free rental and 10% discount on monthly billing if bill crosses Rs.1000. A 2 days 3nights Holiday trip to Goa.For my surprise i got a bill in the first month. I refused to pay. They disconnected the net . Now they sent me a Notice from court asking me to appear before court. Do you think we indians should support reliance ?. They are the No.1 fraud company in india.Unlike TATAs reliance Colluding with political parties they make the laws in their favour and loot the people and resourses of india.

Its a fraud company indeed. Don't go for it if you are serious of taking reliance broadband connection. They said local address proof not required while getting the payment, but without that reliance doesnt give activation itself. It sucks big time... Dont toll your good time wasting with these bastards/cheats.

What reliance people are doing? why they are not cancelling the contract with vriti..

Are they teamed-up deliberately to cheat young people?
