Fraudalent behaviour by Airtel Employees. On Monday, Sept 3rd 2012, I applied for Airtel broadband on the online portal of airtel.in. The next day, I received the confirmatory call from Airtel Delhi. I was told that their representative from Kolkata would get touch with me. I then get a call a person who claimed to be from Airtel and assured us of the connection.
After telephonic confirmation the payment of Rs 2700/- (Internet Plan 80GB 2MBPS: Rs 1699 + Modem: Rs 1000) was collected from my home address on 5th September 2012. It was promised to me that I would get internet installed the next day. However, the person who collected the money is unreachable as he's switched off his cell phone. Also no service has been delivered to us that was promised at the time of installation.
Moreover the person who initially contacted us on phone is denying any payment being made from our side. Also the operators couldn't respond to our request. They also failed to track the request I placed on their official site. Yellow colored Airtel Invoice numbered 589333 was handed to us at the time of payment. I then contacted the Airtel Office at Salt Lake. They also failed to track the Invoice and suggested that I get the refund from the agency since there is no connectivity at the apartments where I stay.
I also sent emails to Airtel providing them complete details of phone numbers and names of the people involved. However, I got no response from them.
Despite no connectivity they accepted payment giving false information. Also they are unable to track my requests and failed to even respond to my emails and communications.

Even I am a victim of this kind. In march 2012 bangalore, one agent came and filled the form. I asked him about connectivity, he told it is available. I paid in cheque instead of cash just as cautionary. after that nobody came and I tried calling them several times, for some days his supervisor was telling that he will send the agent to return the documents and cheque.but slowly they stopped answering the phones. one day i called from another number and questioned about this behavior, he told the network is not avialable in my place. after that I was not able to get him atleast one time. I did not got my cheque and documents. then I called the bank and gave stop payment order for that perticular cheque number.
This is not expected from a reputed organization like this. please make sure that transperency is maintained by ur agents.

Despite my repeated complaining and dozens of trip to their office at City Center, Salt Lake, Kolkata, I've been getting no response from Airtel. All they can come up with recorded fixed messages of my concern being addressed. I'm tired of it and feel harassed by Airtel. This is not the way a multinational behaves. I've provided them with all the evidence including phone numbers and names of the people concerned, still they've not been able to track the transaction. Their own employees trick consumers of their money using the official database and Airtel doesn't even consider it important to pursue the issue.
I get a call from Airtel Delhi office that their local representative would contact me and then Kolkata representative comes to my residence collecting money (SANTOSH PASWAN: 9831925656, 9163291664) (here i'm providing the name and phone numbers of the airtel employees, still no action).
I've commited a big mistake asking Airtel if they can provide broadband services. I am fed up of the assurances and no action taken on their part. I'm seriously considering legal action against airtel.
