    Default Continuous harrassment by Airtel on Broadband connection



    I was using airtel broadband connection till mid of June'12 in my previous accomodation. I had to shift my residence so I applied for shifting of my broadband connection also on 16th June.

    On 19th June, I received a call from Airtel customer care center informing me that my new residential area is not technically feasible and hence connection cannot be shifted . Hence, I requested them for discontinuation of the connection with immediate effect.

    However, the connection was not discontinued and I got a call again from Airtel, stupidly requesting to continue the connection but I refused and insisted that connection should be discontinued. Meanwhile my broadband bill was generated for period upto 25th June and I was asked to pay up. Despite the fact that I had stopped using the connection on 16th June I paid the bill for period upto 25th june .

    I again called up customer care to discontinue my connection and was promised that it would but Still kept getting calls asking for reasons of why i wanted disconnection and requesting to continue.

    By now I have been contacted for about 20-30 times by different customer representatives of airtel to continue the connection despite every time me requesting for disconnection and sending repetitive mails and written requests for disconnection.

    And in the mid of all this another bill has been generated by Airtel and I have been getting calls to pay up my bill for July month as well. And my telling to them that I have not been using the connection is not helping and I have been harrased to pay up the bill.

    Now I see no recourse but to take up the issue in consumer court for resolution and compensation for harrassment caused.

    I am quite amazed by the strong customer services claims made by such companies whereas in reality customer are being exploited every day.

    I am arun kaushal. I have asked for broadband connection of airtel. So some guy came to my home saying that he is an agent of airtel. I paid the money on 13th of august 2012 for 4mbps plan. i paid some 1600 rs. On 16th i got a call saying that there is no port available to give me connection. So i have asked for a refund. But after some another guy called me saying that they can give me connection by 20th of this month. I said ok please give me a connection. I didnt get any call or connection of airtel till 21nd. So i went to the airtel office with the application. Then they are telling it will be that there is an error in the application and my details are filled but they cant give me connection. They said its an ajency and they cant do anything about it. Then they said they will call me the next day by 1:00 and update me on my status. I waited no one called me. So i only called them. Then they said they are not responsible and gave me some guy's no saying that he only handles my connection. So then i called that guy means he is saying that he can't give me any connection because there is no work order for my application it seems. When i asked why means he is saying he don't no and he is not responsible. Now where to go for me. You airtel guys are not giving me money or giving me connection.

    The airtel customer care agent who said he cant give me connection is anand-9945590537

    Now till when should i be fighting with my airtel guys? Please try to find me a solution.
