Thumbs down Slow speed in Reliance freedom 999

    User Id 226943153152

I have plan of Freedom 999 in kolkata,Garia, which speed up to 12 mbps up to 25GB thereafter 1 mbps. My connection used to give d/l speed around 400kBps.
From around 10th June we started having trouble with the connection as it started disconnecting and then reconnecting automatically. The situation gradually become worse and it used to disconnect 3 to 4 times a minute. I launched a complain on June 23rd. Though it was promised that the problem will be resolved within 48 hours it was eventually resolved first week of July(10 to 12 days). In the mean time I used to call customer care every day and each time they used to make the same fake promise.

Now the disconnecting problem is resolved but the d/l speed has gone down to 80 to 90 kBps. Speed test shows d/l speed around 800 kbps(please note the small b). Now this problem started while resolving the last issue .But no one from the other end tried to contact us on the status of our problem and the previous service request was closed without asking us if the problem was resolved.

When I called the customer care they first told me that I am getting 1/10th of the speed as promised i.e. around 1.2 mbps which is normal(??) and the technical assistant person refused to take any complaint. On calling second time they gave me complaint no. but insisted that 1.2 mbps is the maximum speed for this connection.

I being a technical person myself can't find any reason behind how 1.2 mbps could be the actual speed available on a connection promised to be 12 mbps.
The customer care persons sounded confused and could not bring any clarity to my questions. Even if 1.2 mbps is the highest speed for this plan how could i used to get 400kBps whisch is around 4 mbps previously?

The amount of complaints against Reliance here and other broadband forums is astonishing. What a shameful company.

Default Slow speed July 2012 and unsatisfactory servive of reliance

    Hello

My name is Soumik Sen living in delhi. I have been using the reliance connection from 2 years.. No doubt the service of

reliance is extremely poor, especially when there is some technical outage or cable fault. all i get to hear from the

Customer care is that due to material shortage the process is delayed and it takes atleast 8 days to fix it. ONce it took

15 days. As of now, i am facing the slow speed issue, where as i get a speed of 750kbps instead of 1024kbps ( 1Mbps Rs

999 plan ). There was some cable fault the 4th time between June and July 2012 since then my speed is 750 kbps and it never

    rises above

Reliance tells me that according to TRAI rules, if i get speed between 250 kbps and 1024 kbps ( as per my plan of Rs 999

Combo 1Mbps ) i am getting proper speed.
Total crap... The speed if it goes down should be temporary and not for 4 days.. since the past 4 days I have been getting

750 kbps instead of 1 Mbps

I am paying for what i am not getting.. Pathetically Fucked up service. but i never leave a chance to escalate these issues

to the Appellate Authority and to President.services@relianceada.com as Customer care service of reliance is all fukd up.

I am sick and tiered of complaining every now and then and Reliance Customer care being a careless piece of crap does not do any thing

about it and keeps explaing the TRAI rules
    this is total bullshit..

Its a humble request that you please look into this matter so all who use reliance do get justice..

    Regards
    Soumik Sen

Default Reliance Freedom 999, very slow speed

This plan is supposed to give 12 mbps till usage of 25gb, and afterwards it should give 1mbps. I haven't even used 25gb yet, and i'm getting speeds like 1mbps or even 128kbps, and the ping has suffered as well (it was 37 or 39 before, and now it is 230)
No progress is being done by calling the customer care executives.
    Kindly do the needful
