I had a DSL connection for which i placed a request to disconnect on April 10..Later I found instead of disconnect, Airtel executive put the comments to change th plan instead of disconnection.
Anyhow we workout and they asked me to pay the April full month bill and then they will disonnect the line.
However we are still getting bills for further months. Whenever we call the Airtell Customer Care, they provide a new complaint log number and said they will update the records.
In the meantime we are getting harrasment calls from Airtel Collection Department.
I tried contacted Nordal officer via e-mail & phone, but we are not getting any help.
Last week I got a call from collection department asking for the bill of August month & other balance. When I explained them the situation, they said we can give you NOC but you need to pay 50% of the amount we are asking..somewhat around Rs.800.
I'm frustrated & don't know to whom to contact cause Airtel is not taking any action on my complains.
Please help us....

Means I am not alone, Last year I too had similar problem, I paid bills for full month after disconnection and again they keep sending me bills for 3 more months. Lateron (six month after) an executive came and settled the bill for 50%, I paid just to avoide any consequences.
It seems they go allout to grab a new connection but never give a proper response when it comes to "Support" and "Dis-connection" They all have different policies for incomming and outgoing customers, wheather it is broadband, bank, cellphone or any other consumer service.

I am Jaydip Makadia from Ahmedabad,Gujarat. I had applied for Airtel broadband
connection on 16/09/2009 for my office which at D-9 Payal flats, Near Mansi Circle,
Opp. Goyal Park, Ahmedabad but till the date connection was not setup in my company.
I had already paid 5495 rs. amount cheque for this new Airtel broadband connection.
I am not satisfied with the Airtel Customer Care service. I am very upset in this
matter. My office work has been halted and I am totally frustrated. The matter is
handled by Airtel Senior Sale Executive (Sr. Sales Executive Jagdish Bhatiya,
Ahmedabad Division). I asked him for new internet connection before 18/09/2009. At
that time he agreed to be done in one day, and so at same time I had given him 5495
rs. Cheque pay at Airtel Bharti Ltd.
Now on next day means (17/09/2009) I had called him for status then he told me sir
sorry today I was busy with another task. So in that case my task is not a task for
Airtel sales executive, right? OK, It was not any issue because I required net
connection on 18/09/2009. So I tell him it's OK you can setup net connection on
tomorrow means (18/09/2009). He told me ya sir sure I will do..
So on 18/09/2009 I had called him after 4 PM. He told me sir sorry I m facing
permission problem in your area. So first I need to get permission. Than and then
will go ahead. So when first time I had talked to Mr Jagdish Batiya, I clearly
specified him my address as D-9 Payal flats, Near Mansi Circle, Opp. Goyal Park,
Ahmedabad area.
If there was a permission problem in my area, he was suppose to tell me on same day
itself or else he should not give commitment of net within 1 day. Airtel executives
don't even know in which are permission is there or not. And after making us waiting
for 2 days he is saying such a problem.
Even after knowing permission problem he is committing me for permission on
19/09/2009 before afternoon. Yet till today he has not solved this problem and nor
he is giving me any status or receiving my calls.
So from 19/09/2009 he will not received my any call even he has not replying my
message answer. I try lot's to talk with him on 19/09/2009 and 20/09/2009 but not
any respond from him (Sales Executive Jagdish Bhatiya). At the end today I will call
Airtel customer care execute (Mr. Maulik). I will tell my problem, then he told me
your net connection is padding due to E-Mail ID. He says I will not get your e-mail
id because of that your net connection is padding. Maulik say e-Mail ID problem and
Jagdish Bhatiya says permission problem. Who is right?
Any way now I don't want to require your (Airtel) net connection. I was already loss
more then 20000 rs. Because of net connection who will pay me this money?
And yes please tell me how you will deposit the cheque before the installation? So
now I not require Airtel net connection please refund my money back. I don't like
Airtel service.
This is really ridiculous service and please look to it ASAP.
