Subject of Complaint :
Tataindicom promised the 1st month free rental offer for trying their broadband ADSL service - 128kbps/Rs399 pm UNLIMITED plan.
Description of Complaint :
The Sales person explained the plan of 128kbps UNLIMITED would come with free installation and first month no rental offer. He went on to explain that he would not be charging the 1st month rental which is about Rs399 + Tax@10% extra.
Date of Connection : 31st Jan
They have been selling the same plan to multiple customers within our society premises. Unfortunately the plan offer has not been honored.
Billing has been started from 31st Jan but none of the bills reflect the first month rental waiver. I have complained to the sales person (Samie Sheikh), the customer support and most recently to their Manager (Nishant Sinha).
I have paid for the first 3 months diligently and have asked them to waiver the rental for month since I have paid as per their billing upto 29th April. But they have continued to charge me from April 09 to August 09 amounting to 963/- without a single months waiver.
I have refused to commit to any payment when contacted by their customer service agents. So, most recently I have received a letter from a legal advocate asking for settlement meeting, barring which they would initiate proceedings against me for evading and avoiding to make payment.
Please advice how to proceed with Tataindicom broadband services company.
They seem to have taken advantage and sold me an offer for which I do not have any written document which says that its 1st month free. Most of the dealings has been with the sales person and he has not done anything to rectify the matter.
