    Thumbs down Discontinuation of Reliance Broadband and Fixed line services

    Dear Sir,
    Sub: Reliance Broadband and fixed line services have been discontinued but I continue to receive bills.

    Ref: Billing Account no: 100000109785328, Fixed line no: 033-30121452,
    Internet user id: 319419528261


    1) I advised R-care to terminate the services and the lines were physically disconnected on 15.06.09.
    2) I duly paid the bill covering the billing period ending on 23.06.09.
    3) I received a bill again on 29.07.09 for the following month, billing period ending on 23.07.09.
    4) Immediately on the same day complaint was lodged with Shri Avijit Saha of RCL over telephone (033-30331094) who verbally assured that no further bill would be forthcoming.
    5) Written objection was also sent to the Nodal Officer, Kolkata of RCL by speed-post and via e-mail addressed to Rcomnodalofficer.KOL@relianceada.com on 30.07.09.
    6) I received no reply from either Shri Saha or the Nodal Officer till 26.08.09. I sent a reminder via e-mail on 27.08.09 to the nodal officer seeking her reply to my complaints.
    7) There after I received another bill for the following month, billing period ending on 23.08.09
    8) On 30.08.09 I wrote again to the Nodal Officer, Kolkata via speed-post and e-mail for setting right the problem. I also mentioned that being a senior citizen with failing health I was unable to cope up with the distress caused by them.
    9) The nodal officer persistently avoided replying to my letters while I kept on receiving bills.
    10) On 01.09.09 Shri Saha contacted me over phone while I was in a nursing home as an indoor patient and collected details of the case again and promised to sort out the problem.
    11) It turned out to be an empty promise as I have not heard from him till date.
    12) I seek your help.

    SUBJECT”- EVER DECLINING CUSTOMER CARE SERVICES RELIANCE TELECOMMUNICATIONS.
    SIR,
    With great disgust, frustration and unable to find words with this letter/mail I would like to bring some bitter details of EVER DECLINING CUSTOMER CARE SERVICES RELIANCE TELECOMMUNICATIONS with the following facts:-
    1. That since early this year I requested customer care reliance to arrange BB demo at my place.( Details of request sorry not with me but must be in your records.)
    2. That despite repeated complaints no demo was arranged and I have to place mail to customer care reliance and its appellate authority. It also included tO activate my mobile 9350103337 to provide username and password to acess my bills online. Its only with intervening of appellate authority I could get the same. Customer care requests went un noticed or not complied to.
    3. That since early this year I was keen to my early existing 1x Huwai data card to be upgraded to BB having speed upto 3.1 mbps.
    4. That for this I requested demo by calling*333.( Details of request sorry not with me but must be in your records.)
    5. That as usual no compliance has been taken.
    6. That customer care officials attending *333 only use following words
    a) Yes sir we will do it within 48 hours
    b) Sorry sir it could not be done we are placing your compliant on priority basis.
    c) When asked to connect to floor supervisor/higher official either they are not available or I being promised that someone will call you back in 15-20 minutes which never happened as promised by some Ms. Snehal on ??? that Mr. Roshanlal will call y u in 15-20 minutes Date??? CC no. 1612178204
    7. That after contacting higher authorities it was very kind of Mr Ashutosh Dash to arrange demo for which Mr. Nimit placed demo at my place and I was rather convinced with speed and I asked specifically as if the same speed I can get all over India mainly Rohtak where I generally transit between Delhi and Rohtak. He said of course so I later asked Mr ashutosh dash chief cc delhi to send me hardware for upgradatioon which wes done by

    8. That when I started using it particularly ouside delhi at Rohtak Haryana I was astonished and surprised to see that the speed was much much lesser then even previously used data card by me 1x. So what benefit I got from that. None from Reliance official did ever tell me that this can be aproblem.
    9. That this shows false advertisements by Reliance through various media be it television or hoardings at different places in delhi and other places.
    That it has degraced RELIANCE TELECOMMUNICATIONS in my eyes and also in Indians the belief people were having has been shattered.
    10. That since 23rd Jan I am repeatedly asking customer care officials attending *333 repeatedly and getting replies as I mentioned in para 6. Above.
    11. That some of complaints numbers and name of officials I could remember is as follows

    12. That on 02230326200 from this number today 30th jan I received a call from Ms. Shakeena and replies were same as mentioned in para no. 6 above.
    13. That if Reliance telecommunication officials are not able to keep their promises I think all advertisements through various media are false and criminal negligence under section 420 as well as in consumer court/
    14. That I may kindly be refunded money for upgradation offer and my previous number 1x may please be restored.
    That I may kindly be compensated for mental harassment and my time wastage as per reliance protocol else there will be no option to go to consumer court and to media so that other fellow Indians may not be cheated by such false promises by RELIANCE TELECOMMUNICATIONS.
    That I am forced to place this complaint on various BB blogs and consumer complaint centres for wrong and filthy false commitment by RELIANCE TELECOMMUNICATIONS.
    Officials.Including appealte authority and TRAI.

    Hoping a positive and worthful reply from RELIANCE TELECOMMUNICATIONS.
    Thanks and regards with suggestion please don’t make fool of Indian people as was the vision of Late Shri Dhirubhai ambani such vision should prevail and persist.
    A printed fromat of the same is being sent to Mumbai and in the personal address of Sh. Anil Ambani to make him aware that vision of his late father is now being shattered by unresponsive, incompetent offficals of Reliance Telecommunication with a copy to all national dailies to help me and save other Indians from the corrupt hands of Reliance Telecommunications.
    16.That I have always asked cc attending official and in mail also which you can see above that I am a doctor by profession and may not always be able to pick up phone before 5:00PM but they invariably never comply to this. Latest example is todays call as mentioned in para12.which was called at around 3:30PM on 30th jan 2010.
