    Dear sir
    I the undersigned Mr.Ashok kulkarni requesting for register complaint against India Today Book club regarding “Free gift offer” .As per request of India Today Book club for member ship ,I had become member of India Today Book club in the month of July 2008 after getting membership they had given some offers and sent some books cash on delivery ,I have received the books by paying Rs 725/-.They had given Free offer “Free gift Adidas Bag & "Free round Air trip ticket "along with Books. Still I have not received free gift nor free round Air trip ticket and simply wasting the time .They are cheated to my several friends & me. so Kindly go through the following correspondence I have made with them by mails .Here I am sending my the following details to you .Kindly look into the matter and register the complaint against India Today Book club Delhi

    i am getting Same answer from the past 5 months it’s screwing me.

    1. Please find below mail from the courier service that is DART INDIA MAIL stating that both of the courier are delivered back to you on 04/July/2009 than why their is delay in refund?

    Default Complaint against India Today Book club

    Dear Sir

    Same incident happened with me also.

    Few days ago, I received emails and phone calls from Living Media (India Today) - Living Media India Ltd. -- offer for Samsung S5233 Touch Phone with the offer of free gifts containing Reebok Wrist Watch, 2 Night 3 Days Holiday trip worth Rs 5000 and a diamond gift voucher worth Rs 5000 from Surat Jewelers. I ordered this on phone (they phoned me) on 4th Sept and made payment of Rs 9498.00 (8999.00 INR for Phone and 499.00 INR as delivery charges) and Camera worth 5998.00 INR online through my ICICI Bank Credit Card (they had asked to provide Credit Card Number). In brief, they debited total amount of 18,992 INR from my Credit Card on dated 04/09/2009 and 05/09/2009 respectively.

    Booking IDs for Camera and Phone are 110029278 and 110039283 respectively.

    Ten days has already passed but I didn't receive any products yet (till 14th of September 2009) which are mentioned above for which money has been deducted from my credit card.

    I have already sent mail to the ITBC.

    Please help me on this issue at earliest.

    Default Non receipt of shoes, towel & carry bag

    Dear Sir,

    Subject: Membership # ITBC 09975249, Complain # 88991 & 104708 (Lodged telephonically also to your representative on toll free # 18001024242 and 01140502424 on 9th May ‘09)

    Ref : Dispatch # 2979 Godwn MTC – ITBC

    This is to inform you that we registered our complain on 9th May 2009 about 1 dispatch from your company. The Parcel was containing only Four Articles instead of six as promised in your advertisement & telephonically also. Towel and Carry Bag was not dispatched & received by us.

    Further Kindly note that we specifically informed to send shoes of size # 7 with blue strips and but we were sent size # 8 with grey strips which was not acceptable to us.

    On our complain we were assured by your representative that rest of the two articles would be dispatched immediately.

    We were adviced to return back shoes # 8 along with the photocopy of the invoice and an intimation letter giving the details of our requirement. We were assured to send fresh parcel as replacement as soon as possible.

    As adviced we returned back our shoes to B 47 Indira Enclave Neb Sarai, New Delhi with request to change it with Shoes # 7, along with Xerox copy of Invoice.

    The same was delivered on 15th May 2009 {Scanned copy of delivery report of courier is attached}

    On 21st May 09, we were informed by your representative that they have not received any parcel. After clarification they agreed to send us shoes # 7 along with Carry Bag & Towel.

    After lot of correspondences nothing has been done so far, every time we were asked to furnish new details.

    On 1st Aug 09 Mr Jitendra Thakur of your company assured us that your Shoes, Carry Bag and Towel would be dispatched before 10 August but nothing happened.

    On 18th August we once again contacted telephonically. It was matter of great surprise that after 3 and half months of our complain we were adviced to send scanned copy of courier delivery report.

    However we have sent scanned copy of courier delivery report today.

    This is worth while to note that your organization is not attending the complaints of customer properly and even not trying to respond specifically.

    Such kind of dealing and not resolving our complain after 3 & half months has put us in painful situation and we have lost fait in your dealings.

    We request you to look into the matter seriously and send us shoes # 7 along with Carry Bag & Towel at the earliest.

    Dear Mr. Kapoor,

    To get any solution for your complaint kindly send a complaint letter to the Head Office of the Co. Send it through registered post and keep a copy of that letter also. Hope you will get any positive response from there.

    Default ITBC/Living Media/India Today Scamsters Beware

    Scam, Fraud of ITBC/Living Media
    I receieved a call on my mobile from ITBC promising me vacation/travel vouchers for three days/nights with three star accomodation for a destination of my choice. I was told that my mail ID and mobile number was randomly selected for this gift worth 30,000/- and that I had to pay only Rs.3,198/- and they would send me the travel vouchers for redemption. I was asked to key in my CC number. THEY NEVER TOLD ME THAT THIS WAS FOR A BUNCH OF WORTHLESS BOOKS AND A FEW CD'S After about ten days a package containing books that are fit for the bin for the value mentioned was sent to me. I looked for the vouchers and found none except for an invoice that contained illegible numbers ( printed on a dot matrix printer) which were to be entered into a website ; This website opens up and asks to key in the numbers mentioned in the invoice, and lo behold! your next screen shows the message that the server is under maintenance and to log on after three days. A reputed company doing fraud on the common man....I stand loosing the hard earned three thousand bucks.... The following numbers are mentioned on the invoice...If they are worth anything, let them keep their word on the travel vouchers....

They should have made millions, hope the consumer courts launch suo-moto action against this company...since many would not bother after a while....but the company makes millions in the bargain by cheating....blokes....

    Dear Sir

    I have booked 1 Track-suit XXL Size and Re-bock shoes 8 Nos through internet under
    the Scheme from India Today Book. But unfortunately I received wrong material from
    the India-Today Book Club .i.e Track-suit of Small Size and Re-bock shoes of 6 Nos
    Size . have return back the material same day after discussion with from there
    customer support executive . They also confirmed that They have received my
    Consignment. After querying long time they told me that we are not dealing in XXL
    size of track suit then I ask for refund of money but sir after almost 9 months
    passed i am not getting money refund back. I am very frusted from this company.
    Please advise how can I proceed further other wise I should personally Visit this
    fraud company along with Media and other relevant person.

    Thumbs down Complaint against India Today Book Club

    On July 9, 2009, I ordered one Reebok Style Kit (Rs. 1999.00 + Rs. 499.00 Delivery charges) through internet quoting my ICICI bank credit card & I got confirmation for order along with Order ID: MITBC – WEB – 22466357. But within few minutes I received call from their office number 01130488400 & their representative informed me that due to some technical problem my order could not be registered with this credit card, therefore he asked for any other credit card I have. Then again I had to register with my Standard Chartered Credit Card & the booking ID is 7770034040. But after few days I got information that my order is punched twice with both my credit cards. Therefore I requested them to cancel one of my orders. They informed me that both parcel had dispatced therefore I will have to accept one & refuse the other one. They will refund my money once they receive the refused parcel. I did the same & they have received refused parcel but not returning my money. I written them many times on this but not got satisfactory reply. Therefore when I realized that they will not return my money so I agreed to take one more same parcel, though I don’t need it. But neither they are returning my money nore they sending parcel.

    Please help me get my money from India Today Book Club.

    Angry Fraudulant India today book club.

    I bought a holiday package worth Rupees 5944/- from India today book club. Regarding which i received the voucher after 3 months. where in the process to claim it was by sending the form within the voucher to Bangalore on the following address PREMIER SALES PROMOTIONS PVT LTD, PO Box 5042, Bangalore 560001, India. With the phone no 080-4055 4850 which never works. But 1 day somebody with the name Nalini picked the phone and answered me that i will recieve 1 promocode and website where i have to select the destination and date. but i didnt recieve the promocode for 1 month after which again call was made continuously and again the person with name Ms. Merry recieved the call she gave me the promocode for accesing the website.but when i used it the website showed an pop-up saying your HOLIDAY VOUCHER HAS ALREADY BEEN USED.I was/am daamn frustated by this i dont know what...But want my money back and also want to see these cheaters behind the BAR's / Jail.

    Default Non Receipt of travell Vouchar and Swatch Watch

    1.I had purchased books from India Today Book Club in the month of Jul-2009.In the scheme a holiday package consisting of two adult and one child up to the age of 12 yr was to be given to me by India Today Book Club.Dispite four reminders in last five months I did not get any response from them. Many times I rang on their help line no 01140502424 but no one responded on this line. I have been badly cheated by India Today Book Club and their associates.

    2. I had purchased a swatch watch form India Today Book Club.It was defective. On enquiary I was told that please send the defective watch to them, it will be replaced. I sent the watch 4 months ago but so far I have not received the watch.No one responds on enquiary.
