    Dear sir ,Its been now more than one month i have longed the complaint
    regaridng missing item in my parcel but nobody turns up till you . I am
    now boundto take the legal action now. As i have mentioned in my previous
    mails that i havent got the full items i have ordered in my parcel , I
    am still awaiting the response from your side . I would request you to do
    the necessary action as early as possible .I have called at your delhi no
    and spoke to many of your executives but still there is no action
    happening from ur side ...its really rediculus...

    I had ordered two Benetton watches on April 29, 2009 following an offer email from offers@intoday.in, which was signed by Mr. Nitin Sawhney, Business Head. I paid Rs 998 through credit card (Order number - 0GA090039281) and received a packet 3 weeks later. However, the perfectly wrapped packet had just one watch instead of two. I immediately called up the customer helpline number and my call was answered by a Mr Lalit who assured me that there was an error on the part of the packaging and handling department and that the issue will be resolved right away and the parcel will arrive within the next 10 to 15 days. He gave me a reference number - 109115 (he called it the Request number to despatch order). Since then I have written to the feedback@indiatodaybookclub.com address thrice and every time my emails were answered by a Mr. Kuldeep Singh with the exact same words: "...we have forwarded your complain[t] to our concern[ed] department , they will do [the] needful for you as soon as possible." It has been a month and a half since I placed my order and a month since I received the incomplete parcel andyet I have not received the second watch I had ordered. All attempts to call up the Customer Service number met with the response that "the matter will be resolved soon".
    I lost Rs 499
    I want the India Today Book Club to refund the amount of Rs 499 to my Credit Card account.

    I placed an order for Swatch Watch alongwith UCB Sunglass (under their scheme) on 23/05/2009. I received a confirmation e-mail on 23.5.2009 that the goods will be despatched th. VPP. I received a parcel th. Courier consignment No 6127116796 with an instruction to collect Rs.3198/- before delivery of the courier. Accordingly i paid and collected the parcel delivered under invoice no ORA090043152 dtd 31.05.2009 and i was shocked when opened the parcel. The swatch watch was delivered with the empty cover of the UCB Sunglass. An intimation was given to ITBC over phone on 8/6/2009 at 15.36 to one Mr. Lalit. Accordingly an intimation was given th e-mail on 8..6.2009. Subsequently i had correspondence with ITBC on following dates :
    Confirmation of the complaint received on 9/6/2009 from ITBC.
    E-mail sent to ITBC on 15/6/2009
    Reply received from ITBC on 16/6/2009
    e-mail sent on 20/6/2009 to ITBC
    Reply received from ITBC on 20/6/2009
    e-mail sent to ITBC on 22/6/2009

    e-mail sent on 3/07/2009 to ITBC
    Reply received from ITBC on 3/7/2009
    e-mail sent to ITBC on 6/7/2009
    Reply received from ITBC on 6/7/2009
    e-mail sent on 8/7/2009- marking a copy to Mr Malcolm Mistry,Mr. Prabhu Chawla
    Reply received on 9/7/2009 from ITBC saying that the missing items will be despatched soon.

    Reply received on 11/7/2009- Goods despatched on 4.6.2009
    e-mail sent on 11/7/2009 to ITBC
    Reply received from ITBC on 13/7/2009

    e-mail sent on 21.07.2009 to ITBC - Reply awaited.

    In all e-mail they have replied that the complaint has been forwarded to the concerned person except in the mail dtd 9.7.2009 ITBC committed that the missing items will be despatched.

    Respected Sir / Madam,
    I Mr. Afzal Abdullatif Memon residing in Mumbai city, would like to request you to
    take action on below mentioned things as your sales representatives had fooled me.

    On 22nd June'2009 I had received a email from offer@indiatoday.in with subject line
    10.3 mega pixel Kodak Digital Camera for Rs 4999 only. Therafter I had taken more
    infomation from your customercare number wherin I came to know about the
    accessiories including 2 GB card which come along with this camera. But I was not
    comfortable to buy above mentioned camera with your quoted rates and accessiories.

    Thereafter another sales representatives called me on my cell no. 09820684489 on
    behalf of India today book club and tried to convince me to purchased above
    mentioned camera by offered me some below mentioned complimentary gift along with
    above mentioned camera wherin I dont have to pay any single rupee, neither any
    maintanence charges nor any nominal fees for below mentioned gift also he told me
    that he will give Rs. 250 more discount on every individual camera i.e cost of
    camera is Rs.4999 + Rs. 599 (processing and handling charges) = Rs. 5,598.00
    ----------Less Rs. 250 as promo code wherin total amount I have to pay Rs. 5348.00
    for each camera and for all discounts and below mentioned complimentary free gift he
    had taken approval from his seniors and they had approved for all discounts and
    below mentioned complimentary gift. I had asked him to send me the email for same,
    but he told me that we have a common Id so cant send any email but every
    communication gets record in the server what ever I had communicated to you all the
    time every time and all our conversation had recorded so freely you can placed the
    order and enjoy the benefits.

    Complementary gifts are....
    1.) 1 free holiday voucher with every individual camera for two nights and three
    days which include stay of two nights and three days with all free meals
    (breakfast,lunch & dinner), 1 year validity, for 1 married couple with one child.
    2.) 1 free sunglass with every individual camera (branded company, MRP is Rs.2,200).

    With all above discounts and above free gift I had convinced by him and purchased
    two kodak digital cameras, wherin your sales represenatives told me with two digital
    camera's you will get two free 2 GB card, two free holiday vouchers as per above
    mentioned facilities and two free branded sunglasses.

    With all above communication I had purchased two digital camera on 25th June'2009
    and made the payment thru my ICICI Bank credit card i.e total Rs. 10,636.00 with
    Reference no. 110032950.
    I had received both the cameras on 17th July'2009 but as soon as I had opened the
    parcel I was very upset and frustrated to know that there was no GB card, neither
    holiday vouchers nor sunglasses were present in same. On 17th July'2009, 18th
    July'2009 and 19th July'2009 I was trying to reach your customercare executives on
    011-40502424 but all the times my call was on hold and atlast on 20th'July'2009 i.e
    today I had spoke Mr. Ravi and explained him the entire above story, he replied that
    in your membership number no where mentioned that you will get free gift. I told him
    that the best proof is the recorded conversation which had taken place in between me
    and your sales representatives, I had asked him the name of that sales
    representatives who had sold me above digtal camera with false commitment
    but instead of answer my question he had forwarded my call to Mr. Jitendra Kumar
    Thakur.

    Once again I had explained the entire story to Mr. Jitendra Kumar Thakur and he also
    told me that you will not get any free gift. Here again he had not given me the name
    of sales represenatative who had sold me the above camera. I had told him about the
    recorded conversation so that you will come to know the truth, he told me that it
    will take 3 working days to reply you on your query. But atlast he had accepted that
    he will comeback to me by tomorrow i.e. 21st July'2009 with the solution of my query
    and if I want I can cancell my order too.

    will take a major action in against of India today book club.
    Also please take a serious action in against of that sales representatives who had
    sold me the cameras by given false commitment. I am very frustrate.....Please help.

    I had kept complaint ID of Consumer court in CC, if not received any reply with
    strict action and and solution than I will take neccessary action in against of
    India today book club.

    I have not placed the book code u0360 and uo361 at any poi nt of time but you have sent this item first time on 18.8.2009 thro' in.no.orao90014617 for net rate of rs.499/-. Again without my order you have onceagain sending the same item on 15.11.2010 thro' in.no.0ra100027362 for net rate of rs.898/-. These items are clerely not required to me and without any knowledge at my home paid and collected. Why these type of cheating from big organisation like you?
