On July’09, a telesales executive from India Today Book Club had contacted me and informed me abt the offer where you buy 12 books from ITBC and you are entitled to a Free Holiday of 3D+2N. As it was a call from India Today, I thought it was a genuine offer and had gone ahead and taken it. As promised, I have received the books in a couple of weeks…but the trouble started after that!! As per the instructions mentioned on the form for the holiday voucher, I had filled up the form with my 3 choice of destinations, 3 choice of dates and had mailed it to “Premier Sales Promotion, Bangalore” along with a draft of Rs. 899.00 on 6th November’2009. In a couple of weeks, I had called them and they confirmed the receipt of the form and the draft. After that I did not hear anything from them. I tried calling them numerous time…either nobody picked the phone or I would get a rude reply that it was under processing! My dates were on 1st Jan’10 (Poovar), 23rd Jan’10 (Munnar) and 2nd Apr’10 (Udupi). Finally in my last call a couple of days back, they informed me that none of the destination are available on the suggested dates! This is extremely disappointing and I feel cheated. Under these circumstances, I have the following requests for you:
1. Refund me the amount which I had spent on the books (Rs. 2598.00) + the draft amount (Rs. 899.00) amounting to Rs. 3497.00. The books are in ‘as-it-is’ condition as we never got a chance to read them.
2. Send me a Holiday Confirmation Slip with the mentioned destination and date within the next 15 days

Dear sir,
From past 1 and half year i m calllimg for my free gift to your customer care but of no avail my free gift was addidas bag which i should had received in september 2008 have not received till date, my itbc no:08667329 invoice no:ora 080126289 ord no:oga 080120120. please look into the matter.

I had booked the order (order no 0GA0900543046 & 0GA0900543044) at 'India today book club' for
set of 7 DVD's against free gift offer of Family Holiday home package.

The parcel I received was having only the DVD, the ‘Family holiday voucher was not
enclosed’ but in the Invoice cum Delivery note it was mentioned to visit the below
mentioned bookstoday.in/promos.htm link to claim your free holiday from big city promotions.

I am trying to claim the voucher from Jun 2009, & after this I had also send a DD of Rs. 899 dated 18/11/09 but the big city promotions is not sending the voucher.

The free gift what they are saying is a totally misguiding to the customers. I am expecting my money back with harassment compensation and company to stop such cheating marketing policy.
