I had gone through a very bad experience of getting my bike 150 Pulser Regn#
DL-8S AC 3248 repaired from gautam Bajaj's G T Karnal road delhi.
I feel there is a lack of technical knowledge/ Training in the people and above all the shortage of staff.
I had attended the camp organised by Bajaj's co. in Punjabi bagh on 22nd may 09 where I got surprised to know that my bike's engine is worn out & need to be repaired. It is surprising for the simple reason that no one intimated me while I got my vehicle serviced on 15th march when I got my timing chain adjusted in the same service. It clearly shows the lack of experience or knowledge of the staff.
After that I contacted workshop wherein I was informed that the engine work is not carried out on week ends, so I took my vehicle for the same on 26th may Thursday just after their weekly off. I got my job card made and was about to handed over the bike but unfortunately the man who was doing the engine work was absent so they sent me back again saying that we shall call you once he came back. I waited for another 2-3 days but no answer/call from them.
I called them again talking with their Manager Mr Verma and finally got the the appointment on Monday 1st June. But I was shocked when I got to know that the people did not start working on my bike on the same day i.e 1st june and opened on Tuesday 2nd June. So, finally on Tuesday 3 pm I got the call that your bike need the total overhauling & a total expenditure of about 9800/- and you need to deposit the advance on Thursday & we are starting the work in any case.
I got frustrated when I have seen my bike in opened position in the workshop during my visit to deposit the amount. when I enquired about it they said the person who was doing this have another bike also in hand simultaneously. Which clearly shows the shortage/limited staff who could do the engine work comparing to the volume of bajaj customers.
THIS WAS REALLY RIDICULOUS & HIGHLY UNPROFESSIONAL.
Besides several mails & phone calls to the bajaj company representative, I had not received any satisfactory response & my bike back.
They promised me to give the bike in max 4 days from the date of receiving the bike but they took 13 days.
I had been following on the same from the beginning but no concrete action had been taken and every time the next date was promised.
The reason of delay as per the dealer's representative was the unavailability of one spare part.
I have been mentally harassed throughout the whole process being calling them on daily basis but nothing had been reached to the company's deaf ears.
I got the delivery of the bike on 13th june and till date fighting for the detailed BILL which is still pending/DUE.
I would like to lodge a complaint against the Bajaj company/Gautam bajaj for the mental harassment.
