No service of Nokia phones after warranty, worst Nokia Care center staff/skills Hi,
My Nokia phone was working fine, but one evening I found that the cell phone was not switching on. I pressed the power button to switch it on, and then a message got displayed on my screen - "Contact Service". As an inquisitive techie I search that error in Google and found that this error appears if there is a software crash in the mobile and it can be corrected at Nokia care center.
The very next day (Thursday), I brought my cell phone to Nokia Care (#808,, 7th cross, Mico layout, BTM 2nd stage, Bangalore - 76). The fist question the rep asked me was, if my cell phone was under warranty, then I said NO. I told her that I am receiving "Contact Service" error. Then she immediately told me that Nokia Care cannot rectify it (very strange).
I then told her that I read in internet that this problem is repairable. Then she called one 14- 16 year old guy, he told me the same that Contact Service cannot be repaired if its not under warranty (how warranty is related to the problem). Then I told him that I would bear the cost of repairs. Then he asked me to get the Job sheet created.
The lady who prepared my job sheet told me that it takes INR 1200 to repair the cell (just 5 minutes back they were saying it’s not repairable). Anyways, I told her to get it inspected and provide me the estimates, which they assured me to provide by the evening same day.
After one day also I did not receive any call. Then I called them to know the status on Friday evening. They told me that they would provide it by Monday. Again no phone calls on Monday as well. Then I again called them. Finally they said. “ITS NOT REPAIRABLE”
If a NOKIA phone can stop working automatically which is not reparable, then WHY to go for a NOKIA phone? Is it only to use under warranty period and then throw it on a bin provided at Nokia Care center to just recycle it? It’s a big question from consumer point of view. Readers please be aware of it.
