Hi, I had deposited a cheque to my SCB Manhattan Credit Card payment of Rs. 17,500/- at santacruz branch on 15th Feb 2012. However, the bank deducted Rs. 1,75,000/- from the account instead. Post that I gave a written application on 7th March to return the extra amount with Interest and followed up more than 2 times. Two days back I got a call from the back but no concrete resoution on the matter. I have faced a lot of Financial issues due to this mistake of the Cheque clearance agent of the Bank. I dont understand how the bank was able to deduct the amount not mentioned on the Cheque and the slip. Its been more than a month since this amount has been deducted. I now want a compensation from the bank. I want my amount of Rs. 1,75,000/- with interest plus a compensation for my financial losses.
