    Respected Sir,
    I want to high light the un fair practice of ICICI bank while clearing the cheque
    from India. I had deposited a US$ cheque at ICICI Infosys branch on 2nd June
    amounting to $12,314.12. They promised me that the same will be cleared within 3
    weeks ( 15 working days) . The cheque came back to me after 24 days from the
    Bhubaneswar processing center stating that the $ sign is missing, which is a common
    practice at US banks and they were aware of it. I have raised the issue with ICICI
    bank and reserve bank.

    Please advise me how I can get justice for all the delay and the financial pain I
    have gone thru last 1 month.

    Thumbs down Cheque lost in transit

    Dear Sir,

    I am a current account holder in icici bank. It charges 3600Rs. per annum for the current acc services but while it comes to service its very poor. Recently(on 11 june 2009) I deposited a cheque of amount 21840/- at icici bhubaneswar and it has not get cashed yet(around 40 days). When i went to icici for enquiry then they told me that cheque was lost in transit and you have to get it back from your payee and you would be knowing as per icici terms in case of cheque lost the bank will make all the arrangements for the duplicate cheque issue and they should inform us either regarding cheque lost event. But neither of the two happened and i am suffering since last one month. This is 2nd time i am facing such problem in cheque clearance in last one year.

    Please take the needful step as soon as possible.
