Bank has changed the account to savings account and imposed a penalty of 3200 rs deduction as penalty for not mantaining average quarterly balance.

i have never been informed or intimated by the bank of any changes in my account earlier and suddenly they told me that your minimum balance should be 10000.

how can a bank do that without informing the customer .

A salary account is converted into a savings account if it is inactive for three months. This account is subject to all charges associated with that type of account.

An intimation of the revision in minimum balance requirements and the applicable charges was published in individual account statements, as well as on our website. They are also published as part of the fee schedule on our website, and as such, cannot be waived off.

The same happend with me when my salary got credited to my account they deducted 3200 rupees and they did not informed of this deduction
