    Default ABN Amro Bank

    Dear sir/Madam,

I'm having salary account in ABN Amro Bank. I have tried to withdraw money from Axis
Bank ATM on 1/04/09, but I have received slip saying Transaction has been
declined. When I have cheeked with Phone banking service,it has been found that
amount has been debited from my acct. The Executives on Phone Banking Service are
telling me that the process may take up to 12 days.I have already submitted
complaint letter to bank. Why I should suffer for so many days even when the Axis
Bank ATM slip is showing Transaction is declined ? Please suggest.

    Thanks & regards

    Post complaint

    Sir
I am a credit card holder with your bank. Kindly refer to card no. 5239 5043 2012 8195. My complaint is regarding the minimum amount being charged on my credit card purchases. I wish to state that the interest rate has been doubled by you and so the minimum amount being charged is exceptionally high and extremely difficult for me to pay . Although your terms and conditions mention that fees and charges may be revised from time to time I want to draw your attention to the following points-

    1. The interest rate when the purchases were made including the last purchase was 3.5 . After the last purchase in January 2010 I stopped using my card totally.

2.The interest rate was hiked after I had stopped using the card which means no purchase was made after the revision of the rates.

    3. How can you double the interest rate and how can you levy the same on purchases made before the interest rate was revised ? I am asking for a clear account of the process in which the outstanding and minimum amounts are being calculated.

    5. I have been paying Rs. 11,000 and above for the last four months which is an exorbitant amount being illegitimately charged on purchases made before the revision of the rates.

    6. I wish to let you know I cannot pay such a high amount every month any more.

    7. I also want to convey that the card will not be used any more and the outstanding can be cleared in small amounts every month.

    8. I am reiterating that I cannot pay the huge minimum amount you are charging every month at the doubled rate of interest being levied on purchases made before the revision of the rates.

    9. I am also complaining against the unreasonable and rude behaviour of your collection department telecallers who are not qualified to handle any disputes.

    10. Finally I wish to state that if the problem is not sorted out amicably between the two parties I shall have to seek the intervention and help of the Ombudsman .

    Yours sincerely

    Kasturi Choudhury.
